1. The travel credits scheme

1.1 Bookmundi travel credits ("credits") are a loyalty benefit offered by Bookmundi ApS to customers who book tours through Bookmundi. Credits have no cash value except as set out in these terms, and are not a deposit, investment, or e-money product.

1.2 These terms apply alongside Bookmundi's general terms of service. By earning or redeeming credits, you accept these terms.

2. Earning credits

2.1 You earn credits worth 3.5% of the tour price, up to a maximum of USD 350 per tour, for each qualifying booking.

2.2 A booking qualifies when all of the following are met:

• the booking was made through a Bookmundi enquiry and is registered with Bookmundi — where the tour operator takes your payment directly, you must notify Bookmundi of the confirmed booking for it to be registered;
• the tour has started. Credits will be added to your account within 30 days after the tour start date; and
• the tour price has been paid in full to the tour operator.

2.3 Bookings cancelled or rejected before the tour start date — by you, by the tour operator, or for any other reason — earn no credits, regardless of any cancellation fee paid.

2.4 If the booking is partially cancelled (for example, a reduction in the number of travellers), credits are calculated on the amount actually paid for the travellers who travel.

2.5 The tour price used to calculate credits is the amount paid for the tour itself to the tour operator, excluding flights, travel insurance, and optional extras.

2.6 Bookings on which you redeem credits still earn new credits on the full tour price.

3. Using earned travel credits

3.1 Your full credit balance can be applied to any new qualifying booking made through Bookmundi. There is no cap on redemption — only on earning.

3.2 To use your already earned travel credits, contact Bookmundi to notify us that you have booked, and confirm you wish to apply your balance, before the tour start date. You may also choose to save your balance for a future booking.

3.3 Redeemed credits are paid to you as a cash payout within 30 days after the start date of the tour.

3.4 The payout on any single booking cannot exceed the tour price. Any remaining balance stays in your account.

3.5 If the booking you redeem against is cancelled before the tour starts, no payout is made and your full balance remains in your account.

3.6 Payouts are made in USD or, at Bookmundi's sole discretion, converted to the payout currency at the rate applicable on the payout date. Bookmundi does not cover fees charged by your bank or card issuer.

4. Refunds, chargebacks and recovery

4.1 If a tour is refunded in full after the start date, or payment for it is reversed by chargeback or otherwise, that tour earns no credits and any credits already added for it are deducted from your balance.

4.2 If a payout has already been made against a booking that is subsequently refunded or reversed, Bookmundi may recover the payout amount by deducting it from your credit balance or, where the balance is insufficient, by invoicing you for the difference.

5. Expiry

5.1 Credits expire 2 years after the date they are added to your account. Bookmundi will remind you before credits expire.

6. General

6.1 Credits are personal to the account holder and cannot be transferred, pooled between accounts, sold, or exchanged for cash except through redemption under section 3.

6.2 Credits are calculated per booking, not per traveller. The credits for a booking are added to the account that made the booking.

6.3 Bookmundi may suspend or void a credit balance where it reasonably believes the scheme is being abused — including fabricated or unregistered bookings, self-dealing with operators, or duplicate accounts.

6.4 Bookmundi may amend the scheme for future bookings at any time. Credits already earned remain valid under the terms in force when they were earned, except as set out in clauses 6.5 and 6.6.

6.5 Termination of the scheme — Bookmundi may terminate the travel credit scheme in its entirety by giving at least 3 months' written notice to the email address on your account. During the notice period, your existing balance can be redeemed under section 3 against any booking made before the termination date; payouts on those bookings are made under clause 3.3 even where the tour starts after termination. Credits not applied to a booking before the termination date lapse and are cancelled without compensation.

6.6 Insolvency and closure The scheme terminates automatically, without notice, if Bookmundi ApS ceases trading, is dissolved, or enters bankruptcy, restructuring, liquidation, or any comparable insolvency proceeding. In that event all credits — earned or pending — lapse immediately and without compensation, and no payout obligation arises. Credits are a discretionary loyalty benefit, not a deposit or prepayment, and are not covered by any travel guarantee fund, compensation scheme, or insurance.

6.7 These terms are governed by Danish law. Nothing in them limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence.
