Scenic Scandinavia and its Fjords is a great and very active itinerary and provides travelers with an immersive experience in the culture and beauty of the region. The trip was very comprehensive in providing experiences throughout the countries visited. Each day provided ample opportunities explore each area, whether in an organized excursion or to explore on your own. The tour director was outstanding and provided the group with insights into the coming destinations as well as the cultural nuances of each region.

It was an awesome tour! I would do it all over again. Our tour director was fantastic! He was extremely knowledgeable and very entertaining. I could tell that he loves what he does. He and both drivers did a marvelous job.

It was terrific!! My husband and I saw way more then we realized we would. There is no way we would have been able to plan all of this on our own. They tie in history along with scenic views and they are able to pack it all in. Additional excursions allow you the option to see more, or take it easy if you need a little break during your day. Tour director was very knowledgable about every stop as well as things we saw along the way.

This trip was amazing! Pictures do not do the Scandinavian scenery justice. Just when I felt the views could not be more spectacular, another awe inspiring sight appeared! The tour covered a lot of ground . I was pleasantly impressed with the depth of knowledge of our guide, Mike, and the historical detail added to the experience. An added bonus was the interaction with local individuals and visits to local farms which provided valuable insight into the respective regions.

This will be lengthy reading.: The itinerary is one of the best I’ve experienced. Here’s why: Minimal time in transport by maximizing air and coach. Numerous opportunities to see the Aurora Borealis and we did… twice! The included and optional excursions exceeded our expectations by far. Sign up for all! We have to include compliments for our fabulous guide, Lasse, and our driver, Jatcek (spelling, sorry!) and every local guide was good to great. V in Stockholm created memories for a lifetime. Simona, our mush leader for our husky sledding in Kiruna, loves the pups and her work. Sensi led us to our first glorious Aurora siting and you’d have thought it was his first time too by his own excitement. This itinerary provided so many Nordic food experiences, too, main meals and sweet treats galore. A great mix of scheduled and free time allowed for our own exploration. We found bookstores, churches and graveyards, cafes, and more. Although we packed for the weather, many of our experiences included optional survival gear… we suggest you take it!

Fantastic and fun adventure. Go sooner rather than later if your bucket list includes experiencing the Northern regions and the aurora borealis. It’s taxing to add and subtract multiple layers several times a day, but so worth it, especially if you’re fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of the spectacular light show presented by nature for your enjoyment! Even without the lights, you’ll still have opportunities for dog sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, reindeer sledding, seeing arctic animals, visiting the Ice Hotel, learning about the indigenous peoples and their culture and way of life, and seeing a part of the world that most people have never experienced.
