Itinerary

Uncover the heart of Silk Road history with the "Central Asia Journey," a 14-day adventure tour starting and ending in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This trip is designed for travelers fascinated by ancient civilizations, cultural treasures, and the legendary trading routes that shaped history.

Traverse iconic destinations including Ashgabat, Bukhara, Samarkand, and Khiva, discovering famed museums, the awe-inspiring Registan, and sweeping archaeological marvels such as Merv. Wander the Summer Palace of Bukhara, step into bustling bazaars, and immerse yourself in the contrasts of desert and mountain landscapes.

A key highlight—and the USP of this tour—is the unique blend of historical depth and modern cultural experiences: enjoy the chance to attend an opera or ballet, or browse colorful markets where local artisans showcase their skills. Accommodations in comfortable hotels and all-inclusive arrangements ensure you can focus on the journey’s rich narrative.

For those who want an easy-paced trip weaving together Central Asia’s greatest historical sites with present-day local flavor, the Central Asia Journey is a fascinating and rewarding tour package.

day 1Arrive Tashkent, Uzbekistan

On arrival in Tashkent, you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to your centrally located hotel. Tashkent is a modern city of three million people and is the arts centre of the region. Museums and the opera house are perhaps its best known attractions. It has a relaxed pace and charming street side cafes. Trams amble beside green parks and the wide tree-lined roads give a sense of space.
We will have an important tour briefing tomorrow morning - your transfer driver will provide you with a letter with details of the briefing time and contacts.
Overnight: Milan Hotel or similar
Note the hotel check-in time is 14:00 (2pm). Should you require an earlier check-in before 7:00am - you can book a pre-tour hotel night. Or you can book for the day room rate from 7:00-14:00 which is 50% of the room cost.

The booking porocess was easy, and customer service was responsive. I contacted 4 companies about the tour I was interested in. Two of the companies I contacted didn't answer me at all. One of them was basically a chatbot that said "do it yourself." Only bookmundi had human agents to help.
