Excellent

6 stars out of 5. The CEO's were exceptional people, patent and helpful and made us feel very secure. The constant need for tipping was challenging - we were constantly seeking out bank machines to augment our travel funds. I think it would be better to have it calculated into the cost of the trip rather than always bing concerned about appropriate tipping along the way. I was not alone in this experience - many members of the group commented on this .

Excellent

It was a wonderful trip thanks to an exceptional guide, Africa's own treasured wildlife and habitats, and the kind generosity of the natives who shared with us this spectacular part of the world. Yes, the pre-trip paperwork could have been less confusing . The logistics should maybe have been worked out earlier and more definitely. Nonetheless, all in all a fantastic trip I wish I could share with everyone I love. Please protect the gems we have left. Thank you for helping us be responsible tourists.

Excellent

My advice to anyone looking to experience South Africa, choose this adventure trip! Especially if you have younger children and teenagers, they all can enjoy this trip. As for the adults, there is so much to see and experience and watching the kids was delightful. I'd love to do another one - and I understand Shaun leads a trip that goes more to the interior of Zimbabwe to an 11th century site - that sounds right up my alley! But this trip is so worth the effort to get there and meet wonderful CEOs.

Bucket list road trip

Great adventure and my first trip to Africa. Starting in South Africa with good wine and penguins, onto Namibia seeing the second largest canyon in the world, ancient cave paintings and sunrise at the Sossusvlei dunes. It's a great trip if you are no rush and limited by time. Sit back and enjoy the scenery go by. Extend your trip both at the beginning and end. There's lots to do in Cape Town and many adventure activities to try in Victoria Falls. Wildlife in Etosha and Chobe was incredible. Abundance of zebras, giraffes, elephants and special spottings of cheetahs, lions. Kanoeing on the Orange river and the mokoro ride in Botswana were also special things to mention. The long drive days are a small sacrifice to see all there is on the itinerary!

What an adventure!

We saw a T-shirt in Africa that said “it’s not a holiday, it’s an adventure!“ This sums up exactly what this trip is about. Although it took some stamina to camp the entire time and the bus trips were long to get from destination to destination, this was an adventure like no other. Spinning, two nights roughing it in Okavango Delta was magical and we heard lions roaring at night. Our guides were outstanding and the food was better than I could possibly expect, especially since our cook did it all in a campground the safari walks and drives did not disappoint! Because we were there in July, the nights were bitterly cold, but we stayed cozy in the tents. This is definitely a trip for those seeking authentic adventure, but not for those who are uncomfortable with idea of sleeping in a tent for 10 days. Our Guide Pappy was, always so patient and so thorough with all of us and was a wealth of knowledge about the region. I love this trip, but it definitely is not for those unused to roughing it or are expecting luxury.

Trip overall was great. Colin, our guide, was amazing! Accommodation was fantastic! My only complaint was the truck - although I was told it was the only truck to do the trip - I wondered if the suspension could have been better as we had some very rough riding!
