Georgia Tours in September 2026

Wonderful trip seeing all the highlights of these interesting countries. Travel times were usually not too long, food was wonderful, accommodation always central, tour guides fantastic. Busy itinerary but not exhausting and fine for older participants like myself who love exploring but don’t want to walk miles.

Brilliant tour leaders . Hotels in Georgia not so good towards the end of the holiday likewise with the food at these hotels. Itinerary very good but would have liked more time in Armenia.

My trip in mid September delivered all I hoped for, and more. Our guide was fantastic, giving detail on all we were to see + knowledgeable background info about the country and its people. Mini bus comfortable and safe. I will treasure memories of the families whose houses we visited for demonstrations of how to make Georgian specialities and the lunches we then had with them in their gardens or homes. Visiting the wine makers was particularly interesting, having learned from our guide about how to drink wine (and chacha) like a Georgian! The hotels varied in quality but all were good and welcoming. A wonderful experience and a well thought out itinerary. Monasteries, churches, Stalin's birthplace and a breathtaking trip into the awesome Caucasus mountains. The whole experience made me wish to return. I plan to do just that!

Georgia offers spectacular mountain scenery and a rare cultural adventure, far off the beaten path. Combine both with the hiking itinerary which Explore arranged and you won't be disappointed! Gabi was a knowledgeable and excellent leader and her enthusiasm for her country and it's food and culture showed. We had a busy week and some very large lunches, accompanied by some interesting sightseeing and journeys broken up into manageable times.

This was a great trip. With enjoyable rides each day, great scenery and excellent guides, drivers and accommodations We were not cramped when transferring on the bus and the extras such as the wine making visit were high quality Sometimes the lunch and short break stops were less than lovely but they were timed to give everyone a rest at good intervals
