Hanoi City Tour: Full Day - Spring tours
This packed full-day tour is sure to give you insight into Hanoi's history, culture and way of life.
Between 7:45 and 8:15 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi. Then we'll visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to explore the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho’s final resting-place. Just next door is Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts and lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda, which was founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049. The structure has since become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. Continue on to the Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda, one of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam, at West Lake. Then visit Bat Trang pottery village (on Mon, Wed & Fri only) before stopping for lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, we'll visit the Ethnology Museum (on Sun, Tue, Thu & Sat only), the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam. We'll also be sure to see Vietnam’s first university, constructed in 1070. It’s gardens and well-preserved architecture will offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. We'll then head past Hoan Kiem Lake to see the peaceful waters and beauty of Ngoc Son temple.
Later in the afternoon, we'll journey through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, where you will have a chance to shop and explore. The tour ends around 15h30 - 16h00.

Hue Full Day City Tour - Spring tours
Start this Hue city tour at 8am, when your guide and driver pick you up at your hotel. Our first stop will be Dong Ba Market where you can shop and catch a glimpse the daily lives of local people.
Next, take a boat trip to Thien Mu pagoda – the historic pagoda on the banks of the Perfume River. Apart from the scenic riverside and hilltop location, the Thien Mu Pagoda and area is rich in history, standing witness to almost four hundred years of tumultuous nation-building in Vietnam.
Head back to Hue City for the rest of the tour. The massive Kinh Thanh Citadel is the most well known and iconic site in Hue. Begun in 1805 by Emperor Gia Long, it is a sprawling complex comprised of the Imperial City, several museums, lakes, and lovely gardens, all laid out in a series of concentric circles.
We also visit the Forbidden Purple City, originally built in the early 1800s for the personal use of the emperor and staffed by eunuchs who posed no threat to the royal concubines. We'll then head to Hue Royal Antiques Museum to see a collection of ornaments from the Nguyen Dynasty.
After lunch, visit the magnificent and formal Minh Mang Tomb and see how its architectural design harmoniously blends with the natural surroundings.
Last stop today will be Khai Dinh Tomb, symbolic of the decline of Vietnamese culture during the colonial era. Unlike Hue’s other tombs, the grandiose concrete structure, built between 1920 and 1931, is a synthesis of Vietnamese and European elements. Even the stone faces of the Mandarin honour guards are endowed with a mixture of both features.
The tour finishes at your hotel at 5 pm.

The day begins with a guided boat trip on Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the oldest and most beautiful pagodas in Hue. Next, visit the magnificent Imperial Citadel, listed as a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO. Here, visit the Imperial City and Forbidden City, the majestic home of previous Emperors. Enjoy exploring the various palaces, ornate halls, libraries, residences, colleges and other landmarks.
Next, leave the hustle and bustle of the city and head to Thanh Toan village, a settlement founded in 1741 by military officials under King Le Thanh Tong. Join us on this 6-hour, private bicycle tour and get the chance to explore Bat Trang, a small, quaint village about 13km southeast of central Hanoi, on the other side of the Chuong Duong Bridge. Cycle along the Red River dyke, cross the Long Bien Bridge along the way. This bridge, which was formerly known as the Paul Doumer Bridge, is one of the greatest engineering accomplishments of the French, who once ruled over Vietnam.

The artist/teacher will guide you step-by-step to create a one-of-a-kind souvenir to bring back home.
Continue your cycling trip to Thanh Tien village, which is famous for its traditional craft of making paper flowers passed down to generations about four hundred years. The artisan here will teach you how to make the paper lotus with sophisticated steps. You can choose to make paper lotus in any colours: pink for supreme power, white for purity and violet for the beautiful Hue girl in “Áo dài”. Each colour manifests the beauty of the land and people of Hue. Keep the flowers as a special souvenir.

Red River Delta from Hanoi by Bike - Spring tours
There is no better way to explore Hanoi by jumping on a bike and meandering through the traffic and Red River Delta.
The tour will start from either 7:30 am or 12:30 pm. At this time our tour guide shall collect you from your hotel and bring you to where the bikes are located and your adventure will start.
First, we will cross the Red River by Long Bien bridge (built by Paul Doumer who also designed the Eiffel Tower) constructed from 1989 to 1902 during the French’s colonial occupation of the country. From the bridge, you can see greenery below and we shall continue along through rice paddies and farms.
You will meet local people and see how they work. If you fancy, you shall also have an opportunity to take the load off their shoulders, join in and learn all about them.
Continue biking through small roads with nice landscapes before arriving at Co Loa in Dong Anh District to see the ancient citadel, built in 257 BC.
Next see a fruit farm where you can pick some fruit and explore before next stopping for a traditional Vietnamese lunch.
Once you have finished in your own time, we shall take you back to your hotel where the trip will end. Trip ends at 1:30 pm (morning option) and 5:30 pm (afternoon option) at your hotel in Hanoi
