Overall I enjoyed the tour. The sights and destinations were great. Our group got along very well and that was lucky. Our accommodation in Athens was excellent. However, the accommodation during the tour was not very good. Some hotels had things missing or not working in their rooms. B.: Olympia air conditioning! We would have paid more for the tour to get better accommodation. The food was not very pleasant. The breakfast buffet and part of the dinner were inedible. Hot things are cold, cold things are hot! The included lunch was at a restaurant that does not have something for everyone. Some of us only wanted sandwiches but were only offered pre-cooked food! The "included" wine was terrible. Most of the optional tours were fine. Driver and tour guide were great.
Cooking in Cambodia..............it was 38C Loved the trip, Great food, great hospitality and our Guide was outstanding !
Some long days, but you will get a great deal out of a packed itinerary.
Hotels are pretty good, and you'll appreciate the ones that have swimming pools even more !
The French influence has ensured that the coffee is great just about everywhere, apart maybe from breakfast :-)
Jeb was an awesome guide! Informative and interesting, his commentary of the history and art that we saw made my time in the Vatican even better than I could possibly have imagined.
