“We were lucky enough to have Wilbert as our tour leader who looked after our group with a great deal of patience and humour. His local knowledge was fantastic and organisational skills excellent and he was a brilliant ambassador for Peru. He was really concerned that we all had a great time.
We were lucky with the weather and were able to get to the mud lick to see the macaws. That and seeing a sloth within a few feet of us on our canoes were the highlight of the Amazon stay. The Inca trail was hard but manageable, Carlos being an excellent local guide. Scenery amazing, and a real sense of achievement getting to the Sun Gate. Home stay was charming with genuinely friendly families.”
