  • Trek to base of the world's highest mountain; Mount Everest (8,848 Meter).
  • Hike to Kala Patthar peak (5,555m) for stunning views of Mount Everest.
  • Visit Tangboche Monastery; the largest monastery in Khumbu region.
  • Get face to face with mighty Himalaya and giant Khumbu Icefall.
Everest Base Camp Trek gives you an opportunity to visit unique high-altitude destinations that only a handful of the world’s population ever gets to experience. Following the footsteps of Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, trek along the foothills of Himalayan mountains including the world’s highest mountain; Mount Everest including Mount Lothse, Mount Cho oyu, etc. En route, experience authentic Sherpa hospitality and culture, Buddhist spiritualism and amazing mountain scenery. Stand beneath the massive mountain shadows and feel humbled.

The trek begins from Lukla, a Sherpa settlement known as the ‘Gateway to Everest’. Following your experienced guide, trek through the valley of Dudh Koshi to Namche Bazar. Namche, a bustling trading hub filled with upscale mountain lodges, bakeries, shops and internet cafes, resembles an amphitheater carved on the sides of the mountains. Spend a day here acclimatizing before heading to Tengboche when you can visit the Tengboche Monastery. The trek then continues to Dingboche, Lobuche, Gorak Shep, and finally to Everest Base Camp.

A good hike to Kala Patthar and Nangkhartshang Peak will test your endurance level but reward you with close-up views of Mount Everest, Mount Pumori, Thamserku, Imja Tse/Island Peak and several other majestic mountains. The highlight of the trek is of course to visit Everest Base Camp, surrounded by tumbling glaciers and giant walls of snow and ice. EBC is the first campsite for climbers trying to scale Mount Everest.

Once in a lifetime!
“We did 14 days Everest Base Camp trek with our guide Raj in October 2019. He was outstanding and anyone traveling with Ace I highly recommend Raj as a guide.”

Highlighly recommended
“I would highly recommend this company for the trekking. They take care of everything for you so you can just enjoy the trek.
I absolutely loved the trip and when things went wrong (sick people, weather conditions, flight delays) they did the best to assure the best possible experience.

I would highly recommend to ask for Ravi in your team, he is superb. He is bit quiet person but extremely polite and sweet, constantly caring that everyone is happy. Making sure we dont go too fast, that everybody makes it, he is super polite and respectful. I fully trusted Ravi. Absolute gem for ACE.
Also Raj was great team lead with medical experience and natural leadership skills. And Ramesh was really fun and uplifting the mood. Great team combination as each bring different strength.

The only bad experience was the travel from Kathmandu to Manthali and back. Of course this is not in control of ACE but the trip was really bad.
The length of the trip is one point but what makes it terrible is the quality of the roads. Quality is so poor that people with back problems or suffering with motion sickness will not handle the trip well. Also its almost impossible to snooze in during the ride in order to put the long trip in good use. Im not sure if ACE and other companies are able to reach out to government to work on this.

Also they forgot to arrange the shuttle back to the airport for us as we left week after our trek. This caused us bit of stress and we had to take taxi instead but this was the only thing that went wrong during the whole trip, which is impressive.

Other than that the trip was amazing, and I would really recommend using ACE to help you to cross thing off your bucket list :)”

4 - Very Good
“You really cannot go wrong with this trip. I mean you are going to THE Everest Base camp, and the views you get even from the beginning of the trek are just breathtaking. And of course, as you progress to the higher altitudes, those views just become insane. However, it is definitely not an easy undertaking. We are talking about a trek that goes up to 5500m+ which has about 50% oxygen in the air. That's not for any beginners to climb. Hence, many first-timers tend to go to ABC, instead of EBC. However, with the right attitude and the strong determination, you can definitely make it, and Ace the Himalaya definitely helped me finish the trek. Also a thing to keep in mind is that we are talking about trekking in Nepal, not the Swiss Alps. Therefore, the facilities will be a bit more downgraded than you might expect and hygiene is very poor up in the mountains. But of course you have to ignore all that for the view you will get in the Himalayas.”

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS Find answers to the most frequently asked questions about this tour.
  • How much money do I need to bring with me?

Your personal budget obviously depends on your spending habits and what is included in your trip cost. If accommodation is included, but meals are not, we would suggest that you bring around 30 USD per day per person for meals. Having a hot shower or charging your device sometimes costs extra. There are also sometimes small crafts/souvenirs to buy along the trekking route which you may want to bring extra money for. Also, consider whether you would be staying in Kathmandu or Pokhara before or after your trek.

  • What is the weather going to be like when I travel to Everest Base Camp?

The weather in Nepal varies by season. For example, November to January is the dry season with sunny days, clear skies and usually no rain. However, on Everest Base Camp, the temperatures at this altitude will be cold, particularly at night. February to May and September to October is the most popular time to travel to EBC, with usually fairly dry and stable weather, although there may be the occasional shower. June to August is monsoon season in Nepal, but once you pass 3,000 meters altitude there is less and less rain. Check out our guide on the best time to visit Nepal for more on specific monthly climate and seasons.

  • How does it work with a porter?

Generally, the porter will pick up the baggage in the morning and drop it at the hotel in the evening. You will not always be walking with your porter or have access to your bag during the day, while trekking.

  • Is a visa on arrival available?

Typically, yes. However, in response to the current Covid situation, rules for arriving visitors may change frequently and sometimes without notice. It may be necessary to obtain a tourist visa in your own country before travel. For updated information on visas, please check the Nepal Tourism Board and the Government of Nepal Immigration websites.

  • Is quarantine in Nepal in effect for arriving visitors?

In response to the current Covid situation, rules for arriving visitors may change frequently and sometimes without notice. Please check the government travel pages and advisories of your home country and the official website of the Nepal Tourism board here.
