“A visit to Phnom Kulen Mountain is a must, especially when you feel like you're "templed out" in Siem Reap's massive temples. It's also a good way to refresh after a few days of visiting the temples under a hot weather. The tour included three places - the Reclining Buddha, the River of 1000 Lingas and the last, which is definitely the highlight of the tour is the visit to the sacred Phnom Kulen Waterfalls (two levels). The waterfalls is beautiful and I've seen it during a time somewhere in between summer and the maximum rainfall conditions, which is I think is a good time as the volume of water is just right to enjoy the scenic falls. The trip is 2 hours long from the town center and using a car is the safest way to do it. Besides, you'll get a "free massage" along the way, without receiving the free brown powder of dusts all over your body if you choose a motorcycle ride. :-)”
