Southern African has an amalgamation of some of the best countries in African and it no doubt is the jewel at the southern tip of the continent. Exploring Southern Africa will expose you to extreme desert heat to pearly cool-blue waters and show you natural wonders from dramatic landscapes, endless beaches, and exotic wildlife. - At the most southern tip of Africa is the glorious city of Cape Town with its natural beauty of Cape Point, Camps Bay, and Table Mountain. Travel Tips
- While it’s perfectly possible to travel independently across the country by jumping on different jeeps or buses, it’s highly suggested to book a travel group not only for the ease of travel but also for safety and time.
- Traveling around Africa does require that you provide proof in most countries that you’ve had yellow fever vaccination and malaria prophylaxis. This is to ensure you don’t pick up anything nasty along the way so be sure to consult your doctor before going.
- If you’re a westerner or white foreigner, you’ll often hear the term “Mzungu” being yelled your way. Don’t take offense to this or get scared by it. The term loosely means ‘a person who wanders without purpose’ and is said in a friendly manner.
