“This was my first ever trek so I didn't know exactly what to expect, but it turned out to be quite an adventure ! The trek is challenging and cruel at times, but mostly it is an impressive and rewarding experience which I can only recommend. The organization from the local tour specialists was pretty good, transfers, accommodation and service was on a very high level. The best part was spending trek time with my guide, Sudip, who was super helpful and well educated about the trekking and mountains in general. On several occasions he made the trip much more comfortable, whether by providing a good advice with altitude related symptoms, helping with my heavy backpack or just setting the mood for the day. One word of advice, and this probably goes for all Nepal treks - bring more cash than you think you need ! In the lodges, you will want to have drinks or food not covered by tour's standard menu, as well as some showers etc. The tipping seems to be expected for all services in Nepal, so keep that in mind. The Lukla flights are highly unpredictable, you might have to invest in the helicopter to get back to Kathmandu in time for your international flight (happened to me since my return flight was canceled due to bad weather). All in all, 5/5, would go again :)”

“We did Gokyo Ri trek in August. Being it monsoon season, our biggest concern was the weather. We were ensured it is doable during the rainy season as well and since we had all tickets booked and everything arranged we decided to go with it and it turned out to be the best choice! It is very beautiful in August, all the hills are green and its very warm even at the higher altitude, means less packing. And for me personally, the main advantage was that it is quiet on the trek during off-season. We still met few people, which was nice, but not too many, so you get to enjoy peace and quiet. It also gives you a better choice for accommodation. Visibility is quite good as most early morning the sky is clear and if it rains it only starts late in the afternoon and we never got wet on the trek as our guide was very knowledgeable about the weather and we had always reached our lodge by the time the rain started. I could not recommend this trek enough, it offers absolutely stunning views and Gokyo Ri is quite easy to do even being at a very high altitude. And don't be put off by monsoon rains.”

“Unfortunately, due to weather conditions our trip to Gokyo Lake was canceled. Mr Prakash arranged in very short notice a new trek to Annapurna Circuit. In this way, we didn't lose too much time to still enjoy beautiful Nepal. Service provided by Nepal Guide Treks & Expedition was excellent. Everything was arranged nicely. No comments at all. Especially I want to thank our guide (Krishna Malla) and our porters (Birendra Malla and Tilak Malla) being such professional, nice, funny and friendly guys who helped us with everything during our trek.”
