Travel Tips
- Bring a raincoat. Hue sees the most rain of any city in Vietnam and flooding is common, especially between October and December.
- Sample the local cuisine, which includes dishes like bun bo Hue (noodle soup with sliced beef and chili oil) and banh khoai (pancakes served with a special peanut sauce).
- Hue is purported to be the birthplace of the non la, the bamboo conical hat – so if you’ve been hankering after one of these, this is where to buy it!
