This is our third European bike ride with your team. They’ve all been great however I think in this case they appeared to be a bit optimistic about the grade of the terrain. We were very relieved that we opted for Electric Bikes. [The trip has now been regraded to moderate to reflect traveller feedback. The distances are quite short but it is more of a mountain biking trip so the terrain is not as easy as road cycling. There are some small sharp ascents also, but on the whole this cycle is fine for cyclists of reasonable fitness - UTracks team.]
Very enjoyable trip with excellent guide. We had some slow and some faster walkers and she judged the pace well and start times were good - usually 9.30 I would have liked the walks to be longer in some cases as I think on this type of trip you would expect to be out for 6-7 hours.
We had a great time on Marvelous Portugal. Our local guide Thelma was a wealth of knowledge with an excellent sense of humor. The itinerary covered most of the “must do sites.” The Portuguese are very friendly, and proud of their seafood, and country. It was our third trip and the hotels were of high quality, group size small, transportation near flawless, itinerary complete. I think it is best to go a day early to spend more time in Lisbon and one at the end for more beach time.
