Visiting southern Patagonia had always been a lifelong dream. Alvaro and Cristian helped me get so much more out of the W-trek than I could ever get from following a guidebook. Their warmth - and humor - put me at ease right away. When appropriate, I could go at my own pace - which is something that I need on occasion. With them handling everything, all I had to do was enjoy the hike. The W-trek alone would have made this among the best trips - if not the best - I've ever taken. But it wasn't over. I have to admit, I originally short-sold northern Patagonia. I loved the lakes district. As I said in the title, I feel that my eyes have been opened to an unexpected gem. I am so glad that I took Chilean Condor. After the hike up the Orsono volcano with Franz, I knew that I was truly on the best trip I've ever been on. The biking and kayaking were the icing on the cake. Speaking of which... I enjoyed my 'bakery tour' through Puerto Varas. (Don't worry, I'm pretty sure I burned off enough calories on the W-trek.) On top of that, the dining - well everywhere - but particularly in the lakes district - was excellent. I knew Chile was known for its wines, but the beer I had in the lakes district was outstanding. I'm so glad that I went to northern Patagonia. ALL of this, while Covid and its attendant chaos raged around us. I feel I was shielded from what must have been a huge hassle. Finally, I want to single out something minor, but I think is indicative: On the way to lunch after our bike trip, I and a few members of the group needed a bathroom break. We could have 'soldiered on', but accommodating us kept everyone comfortable. Gestures like this are appreciated. In conclusion, I want to thank Cristian, Richard and most of all Alvaro. This trip wouldn't have been what I wanted - and needed - without you. I hope to make it back to Chile and look forward to traveling with the tour operator in the future.
I hope you are doing well!! First of all, thank you for the empanda recipe!! We will be using it as part of our Christmas dinner! In addition to the empanadas, we will also be having Matambre with Chimichurri Sauce, Ensalada Rusa, Humita, tomates rellenos, Flan and bread pudding We found this tour company on the internet. It had excellent reviews on various websites and was mentioned in Frommer's and Lonely Planet travel websites. I will be posting a review!! I am also attaching a few photos! We traveled to six destinations on our trip each destination offered it's own uniqueness. The arrangements made for us helped us enjoy each location that much more without having to worry about all the travel details......the company took care of all that for us!!! A favourite hotel LOL!! The Belmond!!! Really, really nice hotel!!! We would have loved to have stayed here a little longer!!! All the hotels arranged for us were great!! Service, cleanliness, etc.....everything was really wonderful!!! One item that really impressed us about ALL the hotels we stayed in.....once we checked in, the people that worked at each hotel remembered our names!!! Very nice to experience that!! Again....difficult to answer what has been our favourite excursion !! Hard to compare since each excursion offered it's own unique experience! Walking with penguins....very awesome!! Perito Moreno Glacier....phenomenal!!! The hiking, the scenery.....breathtaking!! All of Argentina is wonderful!!! Every single guide we had on our trip was great!!! Everyone kept things interesting, funny and adventurous!!! We loved all of them!!! We cannot think of anything that needed improvements or changes!!! Everyone that we worked with took care of all our needs!! All arrangements were taken care of, all guides and drivers were right on time, every time!!!

We cannot thank you and everyone at your company enough for the fantastic experience we had in Argentina. We will (and already have) recommended you to any of our friends looking to travel to Argentina, and Patagonia in particular. All we had to do was pack and show up! It was so easy, and so much fun. The one thing that maybe would have been helpful was if the prices for taxis/park entrances/food allowances etc. were listed in the itinerary in the local currency instead of USD, but this wasn't a big problem. There was something we loved about every hotel that we stayed at, but I think my favourite was the Cauquenes de Nimez in El Calafate... The afternoon tea, the wonderful staff, and the proximity to the wildlife reserve were the icing on the cake for this already charming and cozy place. Attached is a picture of us at the Laguna de Los Tres... We were so lucky to have such fantastic conditions! Again, thank you so much for this unforgettable experience... we absolutely cannot wait to visit again.
