I was traveling on my own and looking to make last-minute plans that involved trekking, landscape photography, and seeing the outdoors. During the online booking process, which was very easy and straightforward, the company staff were highly professional and very attentive/responsive to my email queries.My guide was Sangay, who was perhaps the most thoughtful, kind, generous, and professional guide I have ever met. He is also a wonderful person with a rich knowledge of Darjeeling and the mountains, awesome hiking/mountain stories, and a warm sense of humor. He has significant experience as a guide and mountaineer and has excellent English language and people skills. We became friends instantly! I intend to keep in touch with him into the future! I recommend this company MOST HIGHLY to anyone looking to book a guided trek in the Darjeeling region. I myself intend to return for a second visit, and I plan to book my next trek through them.”

“We have just just returned home after doing the amazing 6 day Singalila ridge trek! Wow, what a fantastic experience, we were so lucky with the weather and got to enjoy incredible views of Everest and Kanchengunga. The trek was a lot tougher than I expected but we all survived ok. I have to say the entire Ashmitha team were superb, Mr Binod ( our guide) was a true gentleman and very patient with us, his knowledge of the flora and fauna made the trek more interesting especially for m6 son who has a keen interest in nature. “We did the 9 day trek with Dawa Lama as guide and Phu-Tshering Bhutai as our High Altitude Friend. We had amazing views and real luck with the weather. But this would have been a lesser experience without our fantastic guide and HAF. They both were so helpful without being over attentive. We found out so much about the people and language which made for a much richer experience. Can't wait to come back. We started planning a return visit later in the year even before we left Darjeeling! I have lived in Asia for almost 20 years and have had the fortune to do quite a bit or trekking in the UK, Europe in general, China etc. But this was one of the very best. Spectacular mountain views and lush, colourful forest. Note: when not walking in the morning and evening it can get pretty chilly so bring a decent jacket and inner wear!”
