“This is a great trip for walkers on holiday, rather than a walking holiday. The walks were not demanding, and there was a lot of time between to look around the fantastic towns and villages where we stayed. Accommodation was always in comfortable, interesting rooms full of character. It ranged from a refurbished palace in Lecce, to a room within the actual town wall in Ostuni, a trullo in Alberobello to a cave dwelling in Matera. The walks were enjoyable, and covered different aspects of the fabulous southern regions of the Italian peninsula. The organisation of the trip was seamless, and support was there when needed.”

“This was a great, relaxing cycle holiday to the heel of Italy, with a good mix of people. We had quite a large group and exceptional weather of 35-40 degrees in September, which was a little higher than the expected temperature for that time of year. What a beautiful part of Italy to visit and cycling was a fantastic way to explore it. I loved having the time to indulge in the cafe/gelato culture at lunch or after the day cycling and the freedom to chill before the optional group dinner or doing something by yourself. In some of towns, where we experienced an increase in traffic, it was still relatively cycle friendly. There were many locals who cycle, regardless of age and others self-touring - so it was a very positive cycling experience.”

“A pleasant and rewarding few days in one of the lesser-visited parts of Italy. Gentle visits to picturesque towns and villages taking in the cuisine and culture were ideal for a group of 11 ranging in age from about 40 into the mid 70s. Travelling in May avoided the blistering heat which followed throughout the summer. There was plenty of free time in which the group could do their own thing. Accommodation was excellent throughout, particularly the Trulli of Alberobello, and caves of Matera.”
