“A very good last minute booking. The WHW was on our list of to dos and it did not disappoint. Inveroran and Kingshouse Hotels were high points as was Kip in the Kirk. Weather was kind (ish), and the irking/scenery legend. I would normally sort this sort of trip myself but in the days of Covid we wanted the security to cover us if there was some sort of lockdown issue etc.”

Certainly be booking again . It was so nice to use a local company.”

  • Rejuvenate your senses on a hike to Arthur’s Seat, located in the heart of Edinburgh. The hike offers stunning panoramic views of the city and its surroundings.
  • Explore the Isle of Skye, as it is every hiking enthusiast’s paradise. It leads the way to exciting hiking opportunities like the Old Man of Storr and the Fairy Pools.
  • Celebrate nature in the UK's largest national park in the Scottish Highlands, the Cairngorms National Park. It is filled with various trails, rare plants and uncommon species like the Scottish crossbill.
  • Climb Stac Pollaidh on the northwest coast of Scotland. With incredible views of Assynt to the north and the Summer Isles to the south, the hike is worth every step.
  • Bask in the glory of snow-clad mountains and trails as you make your way up to Liathach in Glen Torridon. While the ascent is steep, the views are rewarding.

Travel Tips for Scotland Hiking Tour

  • Dress in layers as Scotland is known for its unpredictable weather conditions. Expect sudden fluctuations and sudden bursts of rain, fog and strong gusts of wind.
  • Familiarize yourself with the concept and location of Hiker’s Bothies. These are basic shelters where you can seek refuge in case of bad weather conditions.
  • Plan and book hiking tours months in advance, as accommodation options are almost always booked out from May to September.
  • Protect yourself from “highland midges” as they can leave small bites that are uncomfortable and itchy. Carry a midge repellent or apply insect repellent balms all over the body.
