“My wife and I enjoyed the tour tremendously. It was our first time in Spain and Andalusia and the tour was the best way to start our one month of travelling in Spain. Michel and the driver were very professional, friendly and informed. The only hotel that we felt wasnt our style was the Torremolinos Sol Pricipe. The hotel was too big, too busy, and noisy for people our age. Otherwise we enjoyed the tour locations, time line and cities.”

“The tour was really interesting, an easy way to discover Andalusia. Granada is awesome and Cordoba is small but full of charm. Will definitely come back !!! Thanks to Daniel, he was a wonderful guide; helpful, skilled and knowledgeable! Would love to come back soon”
A Wonderful Excursion

“The Melonera Winery is a wonderful excursion from Marbella. We started by ascending the mountains north of Marbella..up, up, up, the mountains and into the Ronda area. Our guide at Melonera, Gema, was warm and welcoming. We had a brief tour of the vineyard and wine cellar along with a lesson on the history of wine making in the region. The wine tasting and tapas that followed were incredible. We hope there we are able to purchase the wine in the US! After booking the tour, we realized that the town of Ronda should not be missed, but this tour did not include a stop in Ronda. Our driver, Peter, was very accommodating and agreed to take us to Ronda on the return trip. He showed us the New Bridge and the Bull Fighting Arena in out brief stop in Ronda. Peter also took us below the bridge to get a different perspective of the bridge and town. Both Ronda and the Melonera Winery are not to be missed.”

Malaga — Tour Highlights and Travel Tips

Tour Highlights

  • To artsy types, Malaga will be best known as the birthplace of Pablo Picasso — so it should come as no surprise that the city houses an entire museum dedicated to this renowned artist. Museo Picasso houses a valuable collection of over 250 works created by the Spanish painter.
  • The astonishing Alcazaba is a historic fortress built during the rule of Hammudid dynasty. This impressive Moorish feat is perched at the foot of Gibralfaro hill, overlooking the entire city.
  • Málaga Cathedral, an eye-catching Renaissance-era construction, is one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. Sitting at the heart of historical center, the Malaga Cathedral boasts an opulent façade and an even more impressing interior.
  • Centre Pompidou Malaga is a smaller version of its older Parisian sibling. Here, you will find some of the finest works of contemporary art, all placed within an intriguing cube-shaped construction.

Travel Tips

  • If you need to take a breather from the city’s scorching summer weather, seek shelter at the nearby beach of La Malagueta, where all the locals go to swim and catch some rays.
  • Malaga’s landscape is pretty flat, which makes it great for cycling. The city is abundant with bike rental stores, so be sure to hire one if cycling is your preferred mode of sightseeing.
  • High season in Malaga runs from June to September, when the city comes alive with bars and nightclubs. However, if you prefer to stay away from heat and hordes of tourists, it’s best to visit Malaga in mid-season, during the months of April and May.
