“This tour agency have a fantastic product, if our experience is anything to go by. Everything was top notch, from preparatory information to comprehensive track notes. The hotels where more than satisfactory and the food consistently top notch. The Dordogne is a stunning region and the balance between walking, sightseeing and relaxation was spot on. Highly recommended.”

“This was a beautiful tour of a beautiful area. My friend and I enjoyed the varied countryside (pasturelands, river bluffs, woods, a waterfall, and even a cave), and we were smitten by the small villages with their stone houses, slate rooftops, and old Romanesque churches. The accommodations were all around pleasant and comfortable; while some were "fancier" than others, staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and meals were yummy and relaxing. The walks were fairly rigorous for us, although we considered ourselves to be in reasonably good shape beforehand! We were glad to have brought a guidebook along to help us with the history of the area, and glad that we spoke rudimentary French. I highly recommend this lovely tour, and both my friend and I hope to do another self-guided walking tour with this organization someday.”
More hills than we expected

“Our week was particularly hot, as temperatures in the high 30's swept over France. This probably made the hills a bit more of a challenge, but they are achievable since the bikes are very good and have plenty of gears. We would recommend this holiday, the cycling distances are all less than 50k, taking us through stunning scenery and pretty villages. We were well briefed by the tour company staff and when we had a problem with the bike that needed assistance, they came to us within 10 minutes. The first hotel is without doubt disappointing, cramped and poor facilities. However the restaurant next door at La Veille Auberge is excellent. Les Glycines and Le Moulin de Mitou were fantastic with great pools, nice rooms and outstanding food. On our free day at Eyzies de Tayac we hired a canoe from just outside the hotel and paddled for 18k although other longer and shorter distances can be arranged.”
