“On Weds 27th November we made a very early start in order to make a 'Sunrise visit to Angkor Wat'. Our local guide gave us the impression we would see the sun rise behind the towers of the temple. In fact, from where we were standing, when the sun did come above the horizon, it was behind some trees, well to the right of the temple. Even if we had been further to the left, it would have been full daylight before the sun appeared behind the towers. Despite this, it was still a great experience, but I think it would be better entitled 'Dawn and Angkor Wat' rather than 'Sunrise'.”
