Zimbabwe Tours and Trips 2024/2025

For a country that went through such turbulent times, it is surprising to see Zimbabwe’s natural beauty come out unscathed. It still remains famous for its outdoor adventures and activities such as mountain climbing, wildlife safaris, game drives, freshwater fishing, hiking and whitewater rafting.

Zimbabwe Tour Reviews

5 - Excellent
Based on 179 customer reviews
Great trip. Lots of ground covered
4 - Very Good
  • Andrew Christopher
“Loved my trip. My 4/5 stars is nothing about the way the travel specialist runs the trip. It’s more about the pace, ground covered, and therefore limited time at any location. 21 days and that much distance left me feeling like we only got to see 2-3 hours of sunlight in some locations. Possibly cutting out a spot or two, or staying on faster, more well maintained roads, might help get to more locations quicker and with more time to explore.”
Cape Town to Victoria Falls -wow!!!

“The whole trip was full of adventure. With the ever changing scenery there was so much to see and do. Every day was exciting. The food cooked for us was excellent, how he achieved the great meals on a camp fire I will never know, just brilliant. Would recommend to anyone.”
Amazing adventure through fantastic scenery!

“I absolutely loved my trip from Cape Town to Victoria Falls. I went on the camping trip and I'm so glad I did, I had only camped in the UK before but I have already booked to go on the Gorillas and Masai Mara trip this year as I loved this one so much!”

Zimbabwe - Travel Highlights and Travel Tips

Better known as Victoria Falls, this legendary mass of water ranks among the largest and most awe-inspiring waterfalls on the planet. Considered to be the most famous sight of Zimbabwe, this is what travelers dream of when they first think about visiting the country. The mist generated by the falls sustains an entire ecosystem which comprises of trees like palm, fig and mahogany and the surrounding areas are home to falcons, raptors and black eagles. The falls can be seen from as far as 20 kms away, but the best experiences are always found up close.

Tour Highlights

  • Hike the hills of Chimanimani Mountains National Park
  • Swim at the top of the world in Devil’s Pool, Victoria Falls
  • Go white water rafting on the Zambezi River
  • Look for rhinos in Matopos National Park
  • Bungee jump from Victoria Falls Bridge
  • Fish on Lake Kariba (but avoid the crocodiles!)

Travel Tips

  • Get ready to see plenty of wildlife! Zimbabwe’s wild animals, including its elephants, are very curious and may come quite close as you travel through the country. Keep your calm and try not to disturb any animals that cross your path.
  • Time has no real meaning in Zimbabwe. “Zim time” is often understood according to the sun’s position in the sky, and even specific times are generally estimates. For example, someone asking to meet at 7am certainly wants to meet in the morning but could meet you anywhere from 7 am to 9 am.
  • Internet is not always available in Zimbabwe, even in urban hotels, and is certainly not as fast as you might be accustomed to. Consider buying a local sim card if you really need web access during your trip.
  • Nearly everyone in Zimbabwe speaks English, even in rural areas, so you won’t have much difficulty communicating with locals during your visit.
