The great views of the planets and stars - especially stars never seen at home. The fabulous easily seen geology of Namibia.- dunes, pans, fossils canyons, layered, sharp or smoothly rounded peaks, vast plains. Also the rift valley with a great finger shaped Lake Malawi. The canoe and mokoro trips. San rock-art and rhino hikes with a most excellent guide in Matobo Park. The great beobab trees. A camp very near the Orange River after 11 days of (beautiful) desert.”
