“Sri Lanka proved to be a gentle country with the pervasive influence of Buddhism--the traffic is amazingly considerate and vehicles devoid of the dents that one associates with most emerging economies. The hotels almost invariable exceeded our expectations. While the timetable did include a number of early wake-up calls, these were always underlain by sensible reasons. The indigenous fauna, especially, the birds are agreeably different though less impressive than Africa. Our tour was very professionally organized throughout.”

“We really enjoyed this trip which was well thought out and very varied. The hotels were generally of a good standard and some of them were positively luxurious. Most had pools which we enjoyed using. The guide and drivers were excellent and we had a big coach for 16 people so we were able to spread out when travelling. We saw an awful lot of different things but still had some free days and afternoons to relax or do our own thing.”

“A busy but not too strenuous 2 week discovery-tour of Sri Lanka, taking in a wide range of sights and experiences. 16 in group all very friendly. Mix of couples and singles. Excellent guide, Neelaka, with good knowledge of history, geography and wildlife. Also efficient, and calm, with good sense of humour.”
