Big Thank You! Reviewed Tour: Discovering the Best of Argentina
5 - Excellent
  • Chris Bonnici
“Hello Lujan,

We got back 2 days ago from our trip to Argentina which you organised for us.
I would just like to say a big thank you for your help; we had a wonderful time and came back feeling that we had a very good picture of your amazing country : the variety, the sheer vastness and the (mostly) happy attitude of the people towards life.

I would also like to comment on the excellence of all the guides we had - Tina in BA, Chris (I think) in Tierra del Fuego, Celia in P Iguazú and Eduardo in Salta who drove us many hundreds of kilometres with great skill and patience. They were all very knowledgeable and good humoured and obviously enjoy their job. Perhaps you could pass on our thanks and appreciation to them.
All the transfers were punctual and stress free and I thank you again for making our holiday such a pleasure.”

“Our trip ends today when we board the plane for Buenos Aires. We enjoyed our Calafate and Iguazú visits and would like to thank you for your service. We would be glad to share some of our assessments.

The airport transfers were all good. We didn’t wait and that prompt pick up gave us a good sense of security in a new place.

The hotels at Calafate and Iguazú were superb. Weskar was also okay but too small for a party of three. Nonetheless, Weskar service was good.

On the tour guide, they were all good. But it would have been better if we were properly advised on all payments to the park. Perhaps, this advisory can be included in the day to day itinerary to prepare on the cash we needed to bring because Natales isn’t too friendly on credit cards.

Clothing advisory — the advisory on Calafate and Ushuaia were okay. But the Iguazú side can be better because we were not prepared for raincoats — which were a must to visit the cataratas
The 24-hour service of Say Hueque was excellent. It was very helpful whenever we needed clarifications, or inquiries of our travel.

One suggestion: Best to include all entrance fees to the parks in the cost. It would be less hassle cause of currency exchange issues.

Again, thanks for your service. We look forward to future relationships.”
We had a great time! Reviewed Tour: Sightseeing in Argentine & Chilean Patagonia

“I am happy to give feedback about our travels in Argentina! We had a great time!

1. I chose Say Hueque based on several things including great reviews, comprehensive custom tour offerings at good prices and personal service.

2. Agustin was very efficient and helpful in all aspects of the booking process. He created a perfect combination of tours in the selected destinations including all transfers. Payments were simple and easy via PayPal and it worked great that all three of us could pay individually. He was also very patient will all of my questions via email and wrote back promptly with advice and suggestions. He also communicated with me while we were in Argentina about concerns with a possible pilot’s strike by Aerolineas Argentina and helped resolve the changes that we needed to do both before and after the strike was resolved. Kudos to your emergency crew as well who were aware of everything that was going on with us and were right on top of things. I had to call them several times with issues related to the threatened strike and also a transfer at the end of our trip. Great job all round!

3. My favorite hotel was probably Dazzler Palermo though I would have liked a hotel that was a little closer to Recoleto or San Telmo areas as it turned out. Most of the other hotels had large rooms and friendly staff. Koi Aiken in El Calafate was also pretty far outside the center of town but we liked the hotel otherwise. The one place that we didn’t care for was De Los Andes in Ushuaia. The triple room we had was very small, barely room for three beds and we had to squeeze by one of the beds to get to the bathroom. The hotel seemed very old and needs some updating. The location was very nice though. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

5. We really liked all of our excursions in Ushuaia (Tierra del Fuego hike and canoe, Trek to Esmerelda Lagoon and Beagle Channel cruise) but also the Peninsula Valdes tour to Punta Norte from Puerto Madryn because of all the animals that we saw that day.

6. Our two favorite guides were: Tina for our walking tour in Buenos Aires. She took us to the southern part of the city to San Telmo and La Boca and was very easy to talk with and very informative.
Daniel in Ushuaia for our Tierra del Fuego hike and canoe and also the trek to Esmerelda Lagoon. He gave us two very good days of activity and is very knowledgeable about the area.

7. I think the only thing that we were disappointed in was the hotel in Ushuaia, otherwise we absolutely loved the entire trip! We all agreed that Say Hueque was great to work with and created a perfect trip for us! Thanks so much!”

Ushuaia — Tour Highlights and Travel Tips

Wonder what holidays at the end of the world would look like? Then make sure to book a trip to Ushuaia, an Argentine town commonly described using this very phrase, due to its location in the southernmost part the country. Even though it is mostly known as a hub for outdoor adventurers and wildlife enthusiasts, the city’s ever-growing cultural offer will make sure your holidays in Ushuaia are also packed with all sorts of stylish, metropolitan activities.

Tour Highlights

  • Museo Maritimo is an intriguing cultural complex housed in a former prison. It offers insight into Ushuaia’s maritime tradition and history as a penal colony.
  • Martial Glacier is an easy hike that will take you through streams and woodlands that rise above Ushuaia. Once on top, you will have an spectacular view of the city and the Beagle Channel.
  • Yatan Park is the only remaining part of the native forest that once covered this area. Today, it is a place for the indigenous community to practice their crafts, which can be viewed at the Yatan Park’s art center.
  • Museum at the End of the World is dedicated to Ushuaia’s indigenous history, but also its rich and diverse animal life.

Travel Tips

  • A great way to experience Ushuaia’s amazing scenery is by booking a cruise across the Beagle Channel. This way, you can admire the awe-inspiring mountains and glaciers that surround the city, but also experience several wildlife habitats, which are famous for being studied by Charles Darwin.
  • If you prefer exploring the area on land, you can ride aboard the Southern Fuegian Railway, which will take you through the wonderful landscapes of the Tierra del Fuego region.
  • If you are planning to focus your Ushuaia holiday around outdoor activities, you might want to you plan your visit during South American summers — in the months between December and February.
