Stunning expedition
5 - Excellent
  • Anonymous
“From the first to the last second, the expedition was not only carried out very professionally, but also with a great deal of passion and a remarkable mixture of excellent planning and flexibility depending on the environmental conditions. You could tell from the entire team and crew — each highly competent in their respective fields — how committed they are to their job, but also to Antarctica as a unique and most beautiful corner of the planet. Safety and environmental protection were taken seriously, at the same time there was always a lot of fun and a lot to learn (and a lot to eat & drink) on board. All in all, a breathtaking experience.”

“I had the absolute pleasure of sharing our recent Patagonia trip that you helped him plan. Patricio could not have put together a better trip plan for us!! The trip was amazing from the moment we arrived in Buenos Aires to the sad departure we made 3 weeks later. I loved every part of the trip and each day I couldn’t believe that it could get better. And then it did!! Thank you for all the work you put into scheduling all our activities and for all the many questions you answered for us in our planning. I want to come back and explore more of your amazing and absolutely beautiful country!! Thank you again so much.”

Ushuaia — Tour Highlights and Travel Tips

Tour Highlights

  • Museo Maritimo is an intriguing cultural complex housed in a former prison. It offers insight into Ushuaia’s maritime tradition and history as a penal colony.
  • Martial Glacier is an easy hike that will take you through streams and woodlands that rise above Ushuaia. Once on top, you will have a spectacular view of the city and the Beagle Channel.

Travel Tips

  • A great way to experience Ushuaia’s amazing scenery is by booking a cruise across the Beagle Channel. This way, you can admire the awe-inspiring mountains and glaciers that surround the city, but also experience several wildlife habitats, which are famous for being studied by Charles Darwin.
  • If you prefer exploring the area on land, you can ride aboard the Southern Fuegian Railway, which will take you through the wonderful landscapes of the Tierra del Fuego region.
  • If you are planning to focus your Ushuaia holiday around outdoor activities, you might want to you plan your visit during South American summers — in the months between December and February.
