“An amazing trip to some of the least visited areas of Europe. An interesting visit to Moldova including a monastery, a farmhouse lunch and the largest underground winery in the world complete with wine tasting and music. The unrecognised country of Transistria was a return to the Soviet era. Onto Ukraine and Odessa with its vibrant culture and the magnificent opera house. OK the night sleeper train was not the most enjoyable part of the trip but Lviv was worth it with its churches, bars and restaurants. Kiev is an amazing city with so much to do. Some great restaurants and bars. The churches are amazing and the War Museum is worth a visit. The memorial to the revolution of 2014 provide a poignant note. The trip to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone was both fascinating and sobering with its visits to the abandoned villages, the reactor site, Piryat and the Duga.”

“We had the most remarkable family tourwith Rowan and Natalia. We were traveling with a young child and felt that in every instance our guides truly cared about us and offered to help in anyway possible. During our trip we attended the Champions League final game. Natalia and Rowan recommended all the great spots around the fan zone before and after the game. They also helped us arrange babysitting for our child. It was the trip of a lifetime!”

“This was a fantastic trip for me. I loved all three cities and the many sites, restaurants and especially the people. When ever it was time to go, I wanted to stay a little longer. 3 Days is just not enough to see everything. Wish I would have extended it to 4-5 days instead. Even though there are many English speakers, I definitely recommend learning a little of the language. It made my experience so much richer.”

Ukraine - Tour Highlights and Travel Tips

Ukraine is an underrated beauty which hides many riches under her lush and fertile black soil. This country is not very rich in economy, but makes up for it by their colorful culture. Holidays to Ukraine will be affordable, friendly with fine climates – the kind of features many travelers look for in a travel destination.

Ukraine’s naturally beautiful lands consist of beautiful vast fields of grains which do not constantly get swamped by tourists like many popular European countries. When speaking of biodiversity, Ukraine’s wildlife is plenty and varied. A trip to Ukraine will have a little bit of everything with its beaches, mountains, history, architecture, art and culture.

Tour Highlights

Travel Tips

  • If visiting the Ukraine in the winter, be prepared for some very harsh weather. The temperature can drop to 25 degrees below zero. Dress warm, and bring shoes with good grip for walking on ice.
  • Some areas of Ukraine, particularly in the East near the borders with Russia, may be restricted to tourists. If you avoid these areas, your trip to Ukraine will be perfectly safe and pleasant.
  • English can be hard to come by in Ukraine, and those who speak English can be very shy when asked to do so. At the very least, bring a phrasebook or download a translation app before your visit.
  • For the best shopping and to truly give back to the communities you visit, be sure to shop in bazaars. Buying from local artisans might be a bit more expensive, but you’ll be thankful for your unique, quality souvenirs.
  • It is generally advised to always carry a copy of your passport and visa with you when travelling around the Ukraine.
