The zip line was my favorite. Also all the information our tour manager gave was very good .
I was very happy with our tour. Our tour manager was very knowledgeable about the areas we went to and was very fun. All the places we went were memorable. I do have to mention that the zip line was especially memorable because it poured rain. Not everyone would like that but I was traveling with my daughter and we were cracking up the whole time. We also loved seeing all the wild life and everyone took pictures and uploaded them to the photo circle. I bought lots is coffee from the Doka tour and loved the farm visit. It’s hard to just narrow things down to a couple of favorites. I would consider going to Costa Rica again!
enjoyed everything about our trip. Hotels, guide, bus driver, food, a great way to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Highly recommend Collette
I don't think we would have seen as much of costa Rica as we did if we had not taken this tour, it fun to meet new friends the Bus driver was amazing and the guide was so knowable and rich in history made the trip fun, I would have made the last stop longer the down time at the beach was much need after being on the nonstop go.
Kyacking on the Ora River
There were too many wonderful experiences and places to single out any one. The whole trip was incredible. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who is in good physical shape and adventurous. There was quite a bit of strenuous walking and some in our group struggled a bit.
👍😃😀😀
Least favorite was day one when we did not have a planned activity. We were told it was a 10 day tour. Day one no activity and we were home in 9 days ???? Very disappointed in Collette. Costa Rica was beautiful and I loved seeing the different terrains The people were very nice and so accommodating. The tour manager was super and I appreciated the bus driver. I felt safe at all times due to tour manager (Juan )and the bus driver’s skills.
Beautiful country, but much up and down hill walking. It is hard for us older folks.
Everything EXCEPT FOOD was outstanding. Meal selection very bland.
The tour was fun with many opportunities.
We had a fabulous time, and our tour guides and bus driver were super knowledgeable and very helpful. My most memorable part of the trip was our hunt for the elusive Resplendent Quetzal. We had been searching and searching, and we could hear the bird but just could not find it. Then as I stood on one of the platforms to go ziplining, one flew by about a foot away from me. I was so excited to finish the ziplining and go tell Juan Pablo our guide, because he is such a bird lover!
From beginning to the end, this 7 day trip was fabulous! Beautiful scenery, hotels and lodges were perfect, meals were great, and we were given so much information regarding the culture in Costa Rica. I am highly recommending this trip to all!
Juan Pablo was great, very knowledgeable
the pace of the day was great. wish there was a little more down time in between days to enjoy the accomodations. I know that would mean extending the tour
I've filled out a survey already. Nothing different to add. It was excellent from every account.
Swinging bridges and zip lining .Making new friends
Outstanding tour director and venue
Everything was more than I anticipated!! The Brochure was a bit of a downer before we went! After getting there, it way more than we expected! Our tour guide and bus driver made the most they could happen for us! They were Awesome! I would Recommend this tour to everyone I know!
Tour was over crowded. Food was average. Accommodations were good.
The tour had too many people, 43 to be exact. The KVLY people were an after thought add on to another tour. With one guide it was hard to keep people together. The guide was going to take us to dinner one night, but the restaurant could not accommodate that many people so we were left in a town not knowing where to go. The KVLY host bragged that he and his wife got free trips and spent zero time with the group he was suppose to be hosting. Options that were explained to us as pay for options were actually included in the tour price so we paid for 2 options that were included and were told that we were confused even after we asked about them several time. Found out on the tour from other people that two brochures were handed out. The tour guide Rafa was more political than tour guide. He never contacted us before the trip like the other tour guides. Showed pictures of previous tours he did but did not bother to take a picture of our group so now I have not picture of this group. The Farm to Table tour was good as far as the tour but we had to make lunch ourselves and it was awful. I would have rather ate in the restaurant.
This was a well planned tour that hit the high points of Northern Costa Rica. Our guide, Rafa, was excellent and shared his extensive knowledge and love of nature as well as the history and culture of Costa Rica and Central America. Our hotels were beautiful and typical of this eco-conscious country. Keep in mind that the roads are slow and the terrain is hilly, even at the hotels, so pay attention to the tour description as you need to be somewhat fit. Personally, I loved my first experience in a kayak! I did skip the zip line (did it once on a prior trip) and hanging bridges, but many group members participated and had a great time. They also spoke highly of the pre-tour extension to Tortuguero which didn't work out for me, but I was there on a prior trip and it's amazing.
The tour gave a true feel for the whole of Costa Rica - you experienced not only the beautiful beaches of the coastline, but also the real life of every day Costa Ricans in the central part of the country. Our tour guide gave a wonderful running commentary of the country (and his personal experiences) during the bus rides between tours. My favorite experience, by far, was the zip line in the cloud forest. What a rush!! Definitely worth the climb between platforms and the Tarzan swing capped off this special experience!
Hanging bridges scenery
Cista Rica is beautiful and full of lovely flowers & wildlife! The ppl are friendly and helpful. All the hotels were great! Scenic and comfortable. Most memorable hotel was Mountain Paradise with its Flintstone style shower! I opened the bedroom curtains to a lovely private patio, with a beautiful view of the Arenal Volcano! Wow! During our tour, we saw Blue Morpho Butterflies. Soo many birds! Hummingbirds. Even a few purple ones! parrots, Macaws, Toucans, Herons. Peccary, bats, Sloths! MONKEYS! Iguanas, Caiman, Jesus Chirst Lizard, that walks on water, Geckos! Blue jeans dart frogs, Halloween Crab and the ugly Hercules Beetle. I took the optional ocean d dolphin tour. We saw a big green turtle and lots of dolphins! Near the end they played oldies and let ppl swim out in the water by the boat. They fed us pinapple and watermelon too! It was a great way to end our tour!
I loved Hanging Bridges followed by the ziplining. It was great to see the rainforest from the ground and then the sky. The employees for the zipline were fantastic with the banter and professionalism. My favorite hotel was the Paradise Hotel. There was an awful lot drive time, but I think that just comes with the need to see all of what we saw.
Padro the bus driver and Becky the tour guide.
Enjoyed every part of it. Would highly recommend.
Tortuguero was my favorite. I would not have done that on my own. I liked that we hit many of the major sites (Monteverde, Arenal, etc.). I can brag that I stuck my feet in the water on both the Atlantic and Pacific sides of Costa Rica. The tour guide was very knowledgeable giving us information about the history and wildlife..
Enjoyed the trip very much. Loved the diversity of the country. The farm experience was fun. Loved the hands on activities. Beautiful country side. More time on the Pacific coast, only time to visit the beach one morning.
The Costa Rica tour was great. The bus rides were a bit long. The tour guide was great. I enjoyed the wildlife/
none really. The last stop had a nice view from the pool but thats it. I would never recommend this tour to my friends.
Hanging bridges and boat rides There should have been included more optional tours. We did see on our own the La Fortuna Waterfall, went to hot springs and those were great experiences. The Guanacaste experience was disappointing. The beach wasn't easily accessible, but the pool and spa treatment were very nice. I understand Colette's effort to support the local economy and Costa Rican businesses. Our guide was good at explaining the history of the region and Costa Rica.
The whole thing was great!
This was a different type of tour for me as it focused on in depth learning about the history, culture, people of Costa Rica - not the sights and the beaches. I really enjoyed the tour of the coffee plantation DOKA and the family farm. Making our lunch with all the fresh ingredients was nice. Just driving through the amazing countryside and the charming small towns was so interesting. I really liked having time to experience the small places for lunch and ice cream. My memories are not of one experience but the total trip that made me more familiar with this beautiful country. Pura Vida!
