Taste of Sicily!! Amazing evening, made even better by our tour manager, Dario.
Wonderful itinerary. Sicily is so unique! really enjoyed exploring all the different regions we went to. Loved Sorrento, Matera and Pompei.
Sitting at the Mediterranean one afternoon across from our hotel in Palermo
Truly amazing - we experienced so much great culture and food. The most memorable was the climb up Mount Etna - what an extraordinary sight!
This was our first international trip and first with a tour group. Collette was a great tour and we couldn't have asked for anything better. We truly enjoyed our trip, making new friends and seeing so many different places. We saw what was listed in the brochure and more. We didn't have just one favorite because all the places we went were so beautiful and we enjoyed traveling. We also purchased the optional excursions and that really added to the trip. So much history! Attached is a photo of the Greek Theater in Taormina with Mt. Etna smoking in the background.
Visting farms where they make ricotta and mozzarella chesses and learning how to make Arancini. I made so many wonderful memories in this beautiful country can't wait to return.
Overall the tour was good. Loved all of the history that we learned and went to see in person. The only issues I had a few times was the lack of food quality that was available at some of the hotels / resorts we stayed at.
Tour was fantastic. Tour guides were kind and went above and beyond. I loved the visits to the farms and orchards. The food was fabulous. Good balance between touring and downtime. I loved hearing about the history in Sicily and touring some famous sites.
The tour of Pompeii
The winery with the cooking was amazing. I like the one hotel on the beach. The buffalo cheese experience was better than I expected. The optional dinner was not worth the money.
Overall the trip was good. There was a lot to see and do. I especially enjoyed seeing Pompeii and going up Mt. Etna. However, I would not recommend going to Rome during a Jubilee year. Way too many people, and you couldn't stop and look at anything inside the Vatican Museum.
Sicily was spectacular and greatly enhanced by our tour guide Davide Porto. He gave great information on the cities, the traditions and folklore. It was very educational and delightful. The hotel accommodations were high end and the staff were great. Large rooms- great staff and great food. I will use Collette tours again. I am a fan and have referred people to the website! Very professional and overall a good time and very nice people too. Thank you Collette tours!
Food was good but a lot of pasta and eggplant. Sicily is noted for their seafood and didn’t have much of that at all. Agrigento the leisure time going to the beach and stepping into the Mediterranean Sea. The trulli homes, farm dinner, Taormina my ❤️
Farm to table experience in Sicily was amazing. Delicious food created with traditional recipes. Incredible views. Warm inviting hostess.
Pompeii and our exceptional tour manager, Federico
It was a wonderful trip with a great itinerary, beautiful scenery and great food.
The farm with lunch and my Etna excursion were highlights of my trip
The meals at the Agritourismos were fun and the food was wonderful. Sorrento, Pompeii, Matera and Alberobella were so interesting. So much history.
