It’s a relaxing itinerary. We enjoyed having 3 days in each city. Andrew the tour director was organized and calm. It made each day enjoyable. The 3 separate city specialists were knowledgeable and gave us good information and insight into their city and country.
Andy ran a well organized and interesting trip. He kept things on schedule and was very helpful.
it was relaxed and enjoyable
The tour director was outstanding, a knowledgeable and affable host at each of our destinations, including the brief stops when in route between the major cities.
Perfect length, just enough to see all major attractions. Tour guide Jon was lots of fun to be with. Hotels, restaurant choices, and optional excursions all excellent.
Enjoyed Jon taking us to the family winery, the dinner cruise and many other locations. Also appreciated the flexibility to spend 3 days with my daughter in Vienna and not be required to do everything according to the Tour intenrary. My daughter lives in Germany and was able to take a bus to the hotel in Vienna to spend time with me. My wife and friends. So many pictures and so many wonderful sites.
Very well planned tour with good local guides made the trip as efficient and informative as possible.
Wonderful trip! Very well curated experiences. Our Director was fabulous and all three city specialists were excellent as well! Would recommend highly!
This was a fantastic trip!!! Everything was perfect. Highly recommend it!!!
It was fun, informative and very good experience.
Enjoyed the tour but was disappointed in Tragalar tours. Not much was included. To see anything you need to do the excursions which cost extra. Some of these should have been included in the price of the tour. Would think twice about taking another Tragalar tour again. Already spoke to my travel agent about this issue.
I think this is a wonderful trip and we truly enjoyed the experience. Many of the optional experiences were over priced and should have been a part of the actual tour. We lost time because people we late to bus when we needed to leave for reservations and were not able to fully experience the excursions that we paid extra to enjoy. We were told that descriptions on the itinerary were wrong so we found out we would not be having lunch or visiting places, we paid extra for, once we were already on the bus and left the hotel.
Wonderful to have 3 nights in each city. Perfect mixture of art, culture, history and present day. Local specialists were informed, interesting and fun. This trip fulfilled my expectations and beyond. Check out Prague, Vienna and Budapest videos @themargaretmix
Our whole family enjoyed this trip- 2 daughters age 27 and 30, and me and my husband. It was a perfect trip for the four of us as we could pick and choose what excursions we were interested in, what our young adults wanted to do separate from me and my husband.. The accommodations were excellent. The docents were excellent. They intertwined history, culture and architecture beautifully.. It’s also very clean in Eastern Europe -no Litter anywhere in Prague, Budapest and Vienna! Our tour guides were fantastic as well- knowledgeable, polite, informative, letting us know when we need to be aware at what time. I give this to a 10.
Great design of the tour… 3 nights per city… Excellent tour director () and driver…
The itinerary was packed with tours, local dinners, a lunch boat cruise in Prague, a dinner boat cruise in Budapest, a cooking demonstration of goulash in Budapest, a concert in Vienna, and so much more. The trip to Prague, Vienna, and Budapest was excellent and packed with local culture and history. The itinerary was filled with exciting activities, including tours, local dinners, a lunch boat cruise in Prague, and a dinner boat cruise in Budapest. We also enjoyed a cooking demonstration of goulash in Budapest and attended a concert in Vienna, among many other experiences. The trip to Prague, Vienna, and Budapest was excellent, offering a rich immersion into local culture and history.
Seeing Prague, Vienna and Budapest was an amazing combination of old world European charm and the cosmopolitan busy-ness of today. The itinerary was excellent for the most part. The town of Gyor was my least favorite place to stop as there were few restaurants and little shopping. What other travelers need to be aware of is that only two dinners are included unless you take an optional tour. Although the brochure is informative, until you are actually on the trip you may not realize this. The optional tours also add more financially.
The tour should have more included experience and less optional ones.
The itinerary was great. We saw lots of places we may not have if traveling by ourselves. I’ve traveled with Trafalger before and always been very happy. Our guide, was very caring and did a wonderful job! I’m much older this trip and he made sure I had a good time since I did not move as fast as the rest. He was always making sure I was ok. I would recommend Trafalger to anyone.. our bus driver was fun and very good at his job as well.
Yes. It was nice to have multiple days in the same city. The hotels were a bit far from the city center in Vienna and Budapest. Minimal included tours. Lots of optional tours to choose from.
It should include more in itinerary at least one more
was the best travel director we have ever had. She was communicative informative knowledgeable helpful. The city tours were wonderful. Optional tours were great. Well organized and timed well too. Vienna was our favorite spot and felt the tour could have used an extra day in that city.
We added 3 days to both the beginning and end of the trip which we felt made a big difference. The tour itself was very good and the optional additions were worthwhile (although we did skip a couple). The tour director was well prepared and very professional. The driver maintained a clean bus and was always on time with excellent driving habits and friendly personality. The extra days enabled us to see and do some things that we wouldn't have wanted to miss. It also allowed us to be rested for the tour at the beginning.
We really enjoyed this trip, mostly because we had an excellent tour guide, very good local guides, and had 3 nights in each city. Our guide was very organized and gave extremely helpful tips. We enjoyed listening to his stories on the bus. There was enough free time to allow us to structure our experience the way we wanted. A highlight of the trip was the dinner cruise on the Danube in Budapest. Seeing the Parliament lit up at night was magical. Our bus driver was excellent and was available for drives to and from the hotel into town. We did all the optional excursions except the last one. We felt that the Panoramic Prague walking tour optional experience should have been part of the itinerary. The "Be My Guest" dinner was very nice. Hotels and included breakfasts were good. The included dinners at various restaurants seemed to be of better quality than what we have experienced with Trafalgar in the past.
Hotels were very good. Staying more than one night in each city is more relaxed than moving every day! The restaurants selected for the included dinners were spot on. You would never find them traveling solo. Our tour guide, was excellent. Very knowledgeable, as were the extra local guides. Would strongly recommend to others considering this trip. Robert
I am very happy with the overall experience on this tour - itinerary, points of interest, the group were all friendly as well so it all helped. Our tour Director and driver were both fantastic. The only thing that am not happy was my single accommodation in Vienna (Austria Trend Parkhotel). It was very tiny and I felt it more because that was the time I wasn't feeling 100% The location was really convenient but the size of my room:( Both Prague and Budapest hotels were excellent. Great informative morning tours with fabulous Local guides. Our Tour Director, Kate was very well versed in history, culture, and tied our tour up with interesting stories! She was/is a true Professional. The form of communication : What'sApp could never be downloaded on my phone and that left me and my roommate .....not always informed. ....in the dark. We loved the Be My Guest portion of the tour!! WOW So many memories. Great to meet folks traveling solo as well as couple and so welcoming. We had a great time.
Travel agent good
Promote places to go in all these 3 countries too.
Good number of nights in each city.
The three countries are all beautiful . So full of breathtaking architecture and History. It was a packed trip with lots of excursions and downtime to explore on your own . I really enjoyed staying three nights in each Hotel . The dinners with the local families were so much fun and entertaining with music and dancing .
I loved it!!
Perfect trip to enjoy and explore all things Prague, Vienna and Budapest. The Music and musicians were absolutely wonderful in Vienna. The guides in each city had so much to offer from their cities and their was outstanding! Our bus driver Simon was always courteous and excellent at keeping is safe. Agnes our everyday guide was absolutely the best. Always ready to help and sympathetic in every way. Shared music and discoveries we would not have otherwise knows. She spoke from her experience and to everyones needs. Superb trip and I would suggest it to anyone! Please take me away again 😃
Optional tours were great. Tour guide was the best. Third trip with Trafalgar. And each one gets better.
Fabulous tours of many sites Wish there was more time to see the Klimt museum and take a few minutes to see the Holocaust site of shoes near the Danube River
The tour was well organized with excellent local guides, a good selection of sites to see, and great dining opportunities. We opted for almost all of the Optional Experiences and are glad we did so. Moreover, our tour director, Agnes, did an excellent job of keeping us informed and answering any questions we had.
Well planned IT … the flow of activities very nicely scheduled … accommodations good .. optional activities fantastic … although the Viennese concert a better ambiance if I had my way … nothing against Trafalgar though …. Very knowledgeable tour director and tour specialists the best and pleasant good driver
It was a great itinerary. Local guides were great along with Tour Director and bus driver. Disappointed that the website had no clear instructions that private transfers weren't necessary because 2 pickups from the airport by the company were available and better.
Terrific tour with a wonderful guide. Agnes was quite knowledgeable and also lots of fun. The local guides were quite good, especially those in Prague and Budapest. Hotels were quite nice. The only small issue was in Prague where the bathrooms had no shower stalls and only a very high bathtub which was difficult to get in/out of. All in all this was a lovely tour that I would definitely recommend to others.
If you can, take an extra day at each end of the trip. Everyone in my group loved both Prague and Budapest! Could’ve spent a week in each city on this trip, but we saw the highlights and had a variety of experiences that made it definitely worthwhile. TD and driver were so much fun and made our trip even better.
