Itinerary

Ever dreamed of trekking to Everest Base Camp, but want to do it in greater comfort and with peace of mind? The "Everest Base Camp Trek in Comfort" tour package offers a 17-day journey from Kathmandu that redefines the classic Himalayan adventure for those who value both challenge and comfort. This small-group trekking experience is carefully designed for experienced travelers and seniors seeking a more thoughtful approach to high-altitude hiking.

Following in the footsteps of legendary mountaineers, you’ll traverse the iconic Khumbu region, weaving through Sherpa villages, vibrant Namche Bazaar, and up to the awe-inspiring viewpoints of Kala Pattar and Everest Base Camp itself. Unlike traditional treks that rely on basic lodges, this tour features unique Eco-Comfort Camps: purpose-built, low-impact accommodations with off-the-ground beds, heated dining tents, and clean toilet facilities. These extras make for a warmer, more restful stay—especially appreciated in the cooler mountain nights.

A major highlight is the focus on responsible travel. All meals—freshly prepared by a dedicated kitchen team—are included, sparing you the need to carry extra cash or settle for repetitive lodge menus. Drinking water is provided daily, eliminating single-use plastics. Plus, the welfare of porters is a priority, with ethical load limits and fair wages ensuring your trek is as sustainable as it is enjoyable.

The itinerary is deliberately paced for safe acclimatisation, reducing the risk of altitude sickness and maximizing your chances of reaching Base Camp in good health. Along the route, expert local guides share the rich Sherpa culture and Buddhist traditions that define this region, enhancing every step of the trek. Experience the serenity of Thyangboche Monastery and the camaraderie of your small group, all while surrounded by some of the world’s most breathtaking landscapes.

The unique selling point of this tour is its blend of comfort, sustainability, and expert guidance—ideal for travelers seeking a bucket-list adventure without sacrificing wellbeing. Every detail, from accommodation to porter care, is carefully considered, so you can focus on the journey and the majestic views that await at the foot of Mount Everest.

Incredible Experience. All guides, support staff so friendly and helpful. Well planned and mapped out itinerary. A genuine desire from all the personnel to ensure each member of our group reached the objective. Just a fantastic experience and now a lifetime of wonderful memories. 10 out of 10.

Our guide Rishikesh and his team did an exceptional job in ensuring i had a great trek. Sharing their insight into the people and countryside, ensuring we were extremely well looked after and making me feel welcome right from the start of the trip.

Awesome trip

AnonymousOn May 12, 2025

Happy to get to EBC. Food got boring and disgusting at times. Our guide Rishi was annoying and by the end of the trip I was happy to do my own thing.

AnonymousOn May 7, 2025

The trip was very well organised with the Nepal-based staff welcoming and professional.

AnonymousOn May 6, 2025

Wow! The hike to Everest Base hike was fabulous. Rishi, Sontos, Luk, Nabin and the crew worked extremely hard every day to make sure that everything was perfect and everyone was happy. The food and accommodation were excellent and I highly commended World Expeditions on their extremely professional organisation. I will definitely return to beautiful Nepal and will certainly travel with World Expeditions in the future. Thank you so much!

WE exceeded my expectations in every aspect of my trek. A warm welcome at The Radisson from Lukpa who arranged my room & helped me with my itinerary for a free day in Kathmandu before our trek started. Our guide Subal was first class in every way making decisive decisions when the weather impacted our flight into Lukla. Acting swiftly, he called in 4x4’s to drive us to Sukla where our trek began. Subal’s years of experience was seamless his ability to communicate & manage so many nationalities was incredible. He succeeded in calmly judging the weather, and making difficult decisions so as not to put our health in danger. His knowledge of the mountains & terrain was impressive, advising us on medical issues, and even managed to limit our inevitable sickness’s. Whilst managing the whole team of Sherpas who carried our bags from campsite to tea house. This incredible team of Sherpas not only carried bags of 15kg they also cooked us delicious 3 course meals every night with hot drinks & filtered water. Yam our lead Sherpa set a pace that everyone managed his expertise demonstrated with patience & kindness daily. Amar who juggled trekking & cooking was simply everywhere. Subal and his team were tireless in their efforts in supporting my journey to Everest base camp as safely & as comfortable as humanly possible. I would highly recommend World Expeditions not only for their expertise but also for their ethical stance on employing Sherpas giving them a fair wage, food, insuring them during the trip & giving them appropriate clothing. My list is exhaustive .. Thank you Team ??

Had an amazing time on this trip, all the logistics were taken care of so that we could relax and enjoy the experience. The tents were very comfortable and the sleeping bags very warm and high quality. Food was excellent, much better than I expected, and a credit to the team of kitchen staff and porters! Highly recommended!

Our Everest Base Camp in Comfort adventure was everything we had hoped and so much more. Our guide Bhim was the person who made all the difference. His attention to every detail was spot-on. We learned so much about the Everest Region, Sherpa culture and life in Nepal. Absolute magic!!!!

5 stars for everything. As 2 Ladies in their 60s, we were obviously a bit apprehensive if we would make it. But our team was so encouraging and helpful. Always a smile. Tshering our guide with the help of Raj, Beezy and Gopul made it an experience of a life time. Nepalese are amazing people. Recommend trip to anyone with a certain amount of fitness.

What an amazing adventure! I will never forget the feeling of accomplishment arriving at base camp and the spectacular views every minute of this adventure. It was obvious that World Expeditions does a better job taking care of their travelers than any of the other companies I observed. Can't say enough good things about our guide, Bir Singh, and the rest of our porter/kitchen team.

My adult daughter and I had a memorable trip to EBC in December with World Expeditions and highly recommend the whole experience. Our group of four, were very well supported by an experienced group of Nepali guides, cook, kitchen boys and porters. Our leader – Bir Singh – was exceptional. He ensured everything went smoothly, from recommending “fleecy buffs”, dispensing medication, answering endless questions, to estimating the severity of earthquakes. He offered endless reassurance, always with a smile.

Our team was amazing! They really looked after us, made sure that we stayed hydrated, warm, safe, healthy and happy. No complaints! Everything was beautiful. It was a very hard and rough trek but we all made it to Everest Base Camp. Could not have done it without the support from our team

World Expeditions delivered our group of walkers safely to Everest Base Camp with great care and attention. The WE team were totally focused on our needs throughout and I was grateful for their professionalism and organisation.

This was the second time I’ve trekked in Nepal and I wasn’t disappointed. The organisation of the trip was fantastic thanks to Randeep our guide, and Anand, our assistant guide. Everything went smoothly.

Randeep was an excellent guide

An amazing trip that will always be in my memory for many years to come

AnonymousOn Nov 19, 2024

One of the best and most challenging hikes we've ever done. Definitely a pinch yourself moment being surrounded by the Himalayas every day. The team looking after us were amazing and when we needed their help when things didn't go to plan, the speed and efficiency that things were organised was fantastic. Highly recommend this tour.

AnonymousOn Nov 12, 2024

Amazing trip. Haka our guide was second to none. A few weather related delays were smoothly and professionally overcome.

AnonymousOn Nov 10, 2024

The trek itself was amazing. The organisation and communication was terrible. We were kept in the dark about our airfares, travel plans, and return dates. The team on the ground, our guides, tried their very best to keep us informed; however the Kathmandu office was terrible at communicating with them what was happening surrounding airfares. This created a very stressful start and end to the trip. I would suggest if you travel with World Expeditions on this trek, to book your own helicopter transfers too and from Lukla. As World Expeditions seemed rather inept at organising it for you.

AnonymousOn Nov 6, 2024

We had a great time trekking to Everest Base Camp with World Expeditions. The on-ground staff were great and assisted us in navigating the many challenges, including Lukla weather.

AnonymousOn Oct 29, 2024

Guides: amazing! Cooks: awesome! Porters: unreal! Trip: exceptional! Office: does not communicate well, should have let us know that the possibility of having to wait multiple days was high and to allow for extra time when booking international flights. Did not listen to group when wanting to book helicopters in advance to make it home on time. Did not provide the group with all options for travel home.

Randeep, shamlao, santosh and Nibin were the best guides I could’ve ever asked for. They were funny, helpful, chatty and knowledgeable. I miss them already!!

This was an incredible trip for my 15 year old son and I. It was incredible because of the World Expeditions team - in particular our lead guide Sanjay, our 'front man' Hom, our birdar Ngwang and the chef, Lakpa. Plus all the other crew. The team got us all, all the way to EBC, with care and support, and a lot of fun too. Highly recommend World Ex for EBC!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Everest Base Camp trek. Our guide was fantastic, the food was first class, and we loved the eco camps.

AnonymousOn Jun 11, 2024

I am beyond grateful for the experience I had with World Expeditions. Each step of the process, from booking and preparing to the trek itself, was made simple and straightforward for us. The local team in Nepal were phenomenal, and lead us with great patience, openness and care. The different needs of each person on the trek were taken seriously and were catered for beyond expectation. I couldn’t have asked for a better team to guide me into the beautiful Himalayas.

We are a family of three (2 adults and 14 yr old daughter) and did the walk to Base Camp. We found this an amazing experience with World Expeditions. Our lead guide Randeep was fantastic, he was very knowledgeable, supportive, and fun. We felt very safe and confident under his guidance, and he got our whole group up to Base camp. The support guides, Charan and Birbal, were also thoughtful, kind and a lot of fun to walk with. We really enjoyed the accommodations along the way. It was great how the camp sites were located outside of the main tourist accommodation villages. The camp sites and dining houses were positioned with great views, very well set out and clean. Being located outside main tourist village stop-overs we began walking each day without a lot of other tourist walkers around which felt very special. The food provided was excellent, it was a great mix of local and a few western items (chips and pizza). Our daughter actually enjoyed the local food just as much, if not more so than the western food. The guides also had a wonderful way of helping the group dynamic work very well and we really enjoyed walking as a group of 10 people. Finally, when we did have a few challenges with the altitude we had excellent support from the guides. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and felt going with World Expeditions really enhanced the experience and we could not recommend them and the team we had highly enough!

EBC trek was very well organised. Trek leader Randeep was excellent, very knowledgeable, patient and good at reading people and the group dynamics. Could definitely recommned doing it this way

This was the trip of a life time. The facilities were great, the World Expeditions team were amazing, and the scenery was spectacular.

I recently completed a Trek in Nepal to Everest Base Camp with World Expeditions. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. In particular, I would like to thank the incredible team in Nepal, we had 3 exceptional tour guides (huge shout out to Randeep our leader), 3 cooks who fed us three delicious nourishing meals a day, and 5 incredible porters who carried all our necessary gear. The team in Sydney was responsive and proactive and helped to ensure everything was highly organised. Couldn't fault any of it.

AnonymousOn May 5, 2024

Phenomenal experience and one that I will never forget. Great tour, great guides and great memories.

We recently did the EBC trek with world expeditions in February-March. Trip of a lifetime that were only just now processing a month later. The experience I know for a fact , after observing different trekking groups on the way up, would not have been as amazing if we had not used world expeditions. It’s clear to see the difference in care and value that world expeditions place on their staff and trekkers to other trekking companies. We were constantly catered to from start to finish we couldn’t have wanted for anything more. Our guide Beersing was definitely what made our trip however, what a fantastic bloke. He is so knowledgeable on everything he practices, so caring towards the group and worked hard all day everyday on the trek. Our Sherpa guide Denishe ( sorry if spelt wrong) was also fantastic and worked tirelessly all day everyday making sure we were all happy warm and well fed. I can’t thank these and the rest of the team enough. We will definitely be using world expeditions again in the future. Thankyou so much from sunny England.

This would have to be the best trip I have done so far, it blew my mind away. Binod, Gobina our guides were just amazing, so warm and welcoming eager to teach us about each village we stayed the landscape and culture. Ram our amazing cook, such beautiful food. We were very lucky we had fantastic guides, cooks, porters and the group of people we travelled with.

AnonymousOn Apr 5, 2024

This was my second trek with World Expeditions and both times have been absolutely faultless. It was great to have everything organised for me so I didn’t have to worry about anything. Everyone involved - from my first contact to when I left Kathmandu - were helpful and professional. I have nothing but praise for our team in Nepal. Our guide Binood was so full of knowledge and pride in his country and was more than happy to answer our questions. Our crew went above and beyond to ensure we were happy, healthy and safe. The food was delicious and plentiful. My fellow trekkers were so good to get to know and I haven’t laughed so much in years. The trek was hard but so worth the effort. This will not be my last trip with WE.

An amazing experience that was made truly possible by booking through World Expeditions.. The team in Nepal went above and beyond to ensure our every requirement was met within their control.. The sherpas, guides, cook, and porters were exemplary, very welcoming, knowledgeable and understanding.. Could have asked for a better bunch of people..

AnonymousOn Apr 2, 2024

Brilliantly well organised, guides were fantastic, food was excellent, highly recommended

AnonymousOn Mar 26, 2024

Excellent! Our guides Bir Singh and Dinis were outstanding.

AnonymousOn Jan 5, 2024

Brilliant adventure with an excellent team. Special thanks to team leader Juddha Rai who coaxed we through some tough days and got me to the end at the top of Kala Patthar, the highest point of the expedition and the best view of Everest. Facilities were excellent throughout - compared to what else is available; this is not a luxury tour! Special mention to our cook Karna, who used the simple ingredients available to constantly serve up a plentiful supply of delicious food. Minor comments; as a quicker than average team we could have slowed down a bit and enjoyed the scenery a bit more, whereas Juddhai tended to set a high pace. To be fair there were regular rest stops and we could have asked to slow down. Also some miscommunication over the airport arrival where I was told I would be picked up - I was expecting a driver to be waiting but what they meant was to go and find the hotel bus. I worked it out in the end but instructions could have been clearer.
