My name is Lucía and I am from Ecuador. I'm a local travel specialist, currently with 2 years of experience. I grew up in Quito, the capital of Ecuador and "the middle of the world".

I started to travel, camp, and go on excursions—especially in natural environments— when I was 10 years old and since then I have never stopped. Even before I started my studies in tourism and hospitality, I realized that traveling was something that enriched my soul and filled me with great memories. I knew that I would love to share this passion with people from all over the world.

I also love my country and sharing it with others; it has so much to offer. It is my dream is to be able to assist people in creating trip plans that they never forget. Traveling is one place where you can create the most amazing memories that you can keep all your life and share with your friends and family. Once you start traveling you will never stop!

I specialize in places all places in Ecuador, the country where I grew up. These places include the Galapagos Islands, the Amazon, the coast the Andes highlands. I have personally explored all these areas and have lots of tourism experience there as well. Ecuador has almost everything in one place due to the short distances from one region to another. You can be on the Ecuadorian coast and immediately change to a humid tropical zone as well as to a cold place in the middle of volcanoes.

I specialize in several different activities and trip types. Ecuador is a very biodiverse country, and the activities on offer here are varied as well, such as cultural, adventure, and community tourism. The Andes highlands, for example, are filled with stunning volcanos and lagoons, so there is a lot to see and do for sports lovers, but also for people who want to learn more about the Andean culture. You can do several activities such as mountain biking, hiking, climbing, and trekking while you discover beautiful volcanoes and mountain peaks.

Lucía's best travel experience

An experience that I will never forget is when I first traveled to Galapagos Islands when I was 11 years old. On this trip, I realized that we have everything here, in Ecuador, wonderful tourist places to be shown to the world. I have also been able to travel to other countries like Mexico and USA to learn about other cultures. I have always thought that the best way to exchange cultural experiences has been to meet people who are passionate about their country and to be able to share ideas from one country to another.
