About

My name is Godbless and I was born in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro in a village called Machame. As a child, I looked up at the mountain every day as I walked to school, and I knew that one day I would be standing on its top.

After I completed secondary school, I started working as a porter, which was without a doubt the hardest job I ever had. Over time, I saved money to put myself through safari college. I then became first an assistant, and later a lead mountain guide, reaching the top of Kilimanjaro more than 100 times.

I am passionate about responsible tourism that protects and cares for the diverse cultures of our country, as well as its natural environment, whilst optimizing business and economic sustainability. My clients and their satisfaction are of the utmost importance to me, and I am proud to share a piece of Tanzania with them.

Godbless's Travel Expertise

I am a professional mountain guide specializing in organizing tailor-made climbing/trekking to Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, and the active volcanic mountain, Oldoinyo Lengai, located at Lake Natron north of Ngorongoro highlands.

I also specialize in organizing wildlife safaris and holidays through all the Tanzanian northern national parks including the Serengeti, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire and Arusha National Park.

The most important value for me is customer satisfaction. I always strive to meet my clients’ individual needs.

Godbless's best travel experience

One of my most memorable experiences is the first time I visited Serengeti National Park. It was in February, during the great wildebeest migration. Every year, over 1.5 million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle move across the plains of Tanzania and Kenya in search of fresh grazing, water and breeding grounds. With many predators close at hand including lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, wild dogs and crocodiles, the migration reveals a circle of life and death that fascinates every safari traveler.

My particular experience became even more exciting when we realized that a pride of lions was hunting a wildebeest right in front of us. It was like watching a National Geographic show! Everywhere I looked there were wildebeests, zebras, impalas and lions, and we all could hear the wildebeest roaring. It was an incredible experience.
