Enjoy the stunning views of the snowy Caucasus Mountains during winter! This one-day guided tour takes you to the northern region of Georgia, passing some of the most popular attractions on the road. Visit a Jinvali man-made reservoir, Ananuri fortress, Kazbegi town as well as the ethnographic museum. Weather permitting, you’ll also have the opportunity to hike to Gergeti mountain.

We will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and drive directly to Kazbegi town. Upon arrival, explore the Stepantsminda Museum of History. The museum building used to be the memorial house of well-known 19th-century Georgian writer Alexander Kazbegi. Here, you can see ethnographic and craft collections, documents, household objects, accessories characteristic to this region, archaeological collection, and religious objects.

Weather and road permitting, we will also be able to hike to Gergeti mountain, where a small church, the Gergeti Holy Trinity, still stands. Gergeti dates from the 14th century and ancient wall carvings are well-preserved on the facade of the church. The church is located under the magnificent peak of Mount Kazbegi, the third-highest in Georgia at an elevation of 5,033 meters above sea level.

After the trip, we will drive back to Tbilisi and have lunch at a local restaurant en route.
