“The trek went very well in general, the guide a porters were very professional, food was great. The boiled water gave me me a stomach bug on the second day, unfortunately, but it passed after vomiting a few times.... Had no difficulty at all except on the day we climbed to the summit. Getting up at 1AM was way too early, as I had barely got any sleep (if any). My body shut down half way up, was very tired, vomited a few times, but eventually made it after the sun came up. In hindsight, we should just started the trek around 5AM, as sleep is essential!... I only question that the guide decided to cut the trek short 1 day (6 days instead of 7), even though I had already paid for a full 7 days. This factored in to the tip I left them, which personally I find to be a very awkward moment in the experience. I think this should just be included in the cost. Keep this in mind, as apparently this happens a lot so they can get a day off, get fully paid for 7 days, AND expect a big tip.”

“My experience with Migration Venture Africa was nothing but positive. I planned a 7 day Kilimanjaro trip with a friend. They were great with communication via email and setting things up even before I arrived. Everyone that works for the company was very kind and helpful to us. Migration Venture Africa gave a very personal and reliable service that you can't find with the larger companies. They are also one of the only companies based out of the small town of Moshi rather than Arusha and all of their workers are locally hired. The company itself is also locally owned, which is not always the case with the bigger companies. Prior to our trek, we met with our mountain guides to do a precheck for gear and to talk about what to expect. We were picked up at our hotel by the guides and our porters, where we all went together to the mountain gate. The gear provided was sleeping bags (the NorthFace), sleeping pads, a tent, and a dining tent with table, chairs etc. Higher on the mountain they also provided hot water bottles for our sleeping bags to keep warm. The meals during the trek were great, with hot meals in the morning and night and a box lunch for a mid-day meal. There was always more than enough food and the variety of food was great too. All food was safely prepared and no one on our trek was ever ill from food or water. The guides were very attentive to our needs. Our entire group made it to the summit and back down with no troubles. We even made it to the top in time for the sunrise, which was amazing. If you are looking for a company that cares about you and not just money, then I would recommend MIGRATION VENTURE AFRICA LTD.”

“I did the 7 day Kilimanjaro Lemosho route with Seven Wonders Safaris in July this year, and with the help of my amazing guide, Respick, and the very capable crew of porters and cook I successfully reached Uhuru Peak! The contact person of Seven Wonders on Bookmundi, Evelyn, was very responsive to all the questions I had and helped me to customise the trip to my travel needs. The guide was very kind and helpful and told me a lot about the local plant and wildlife that we encountered on the way up. Every evening he provided me with a briefing for the following day, along with clothing tips to go along with the weather. During the day he also advised me on things like drinking enough water, dealing with the altitude sickness and using the trekking poles. His English was rather good, and some of the porters and the cook also knew quite a bit of English and were always happy to strike up a conversation. The equipment provided by Seven Wonders like tents, sleeping mats, trekking poles etc were all in good condition. The food provided by the cook was really great and plentiful, my breakfast and dinner on Kili were better than what I got in my hotel in Arusha (really!). Breakfast usually consisted of porridge, fruit, sausages, eggs and toast. I got a different dish for dinner every night; Always started with soup and then usually things like rice with vegetables and chicken, pasta, fish and chips etc. I was also provided with hot water during every meal for making tea, coffee etc. All in all a really great experience and I didn't encounter any issues or problems with the crew or with Seven Wonders, which allowed me to enjoy every minute of the trip and focus on getting to the top! I would definitely recommend booking here if you are looking for a budget company to get you to Uhuru Peak.”

“Let me just start off by saying out of all the places I have been, and tour companies I have dealt with, this is by far the most transparent, hassle-free, complete package company you could deal with.
From start to finish, my brother and I shopped different companies, but found this one as the best priced, least pushy, and most friendly.
My brother and I did 7 Day Mount Kilimanjaro trekking through Lemosho route and Enosa was excellent through-out. We were met as expected at the airport and transferred directly to the hotel (a very nice hotel called Kilimanjaro Wonders Hotel). That evening we had a briefing with our guides Regan and Roger who were extremely informative and put all our minds at rest (as we were a bit nervous about starting the climb the next day).
Our guide, Regan, and asst. guide Roger provided us with nothing but the best service the entire way up the mountain. Regan presented us with our entire crew from the very start of the hike, (I had read prior that sometimes guides will try and add an additional non-existent porter to collect more tip at the end) and made us laugh and enjoy our entire trip. Ronald was an honest man, someone who could be trusted, and you could see the respect that his team had for him the whole way up. Without Roger I wouldn't have made it to the top, and both of them constantly watched us and made sure that safety was the first priority.
Climbing Kilimanjaro was probably the most challenging, but also the most rewarding thing that we had ever done. Our crew was amazing sorting out all the food, water, tents etc. so we could just focus on getting to the top without anything else to worry.
Overall I would definitely recommend climbing Kilimanjaro as an experience and doing it with Enosa Expeditions.
If you are thinking of climbing Kilimanjaro, the best advice I could give would be do some decent training and make sure you get good kit (particularly a very warm sleeping bag and a good day rucksack). I'd also recommend the Lemosho route, as you ascend quite slowly (we hiked over 7 days in total) which gave plenty of time for acclimatisation to the altitude. A couple of us suffered from some altitude symptoms early on and had we done one of the shorter routes I don't think we could have acclimatised before summit day.”

“We were picked up on time from our hotel, joined by other members of the party, and set off to Tarangire. There were loads of animals and our driver got up-close to as many as possible. We had lunch there, very substantial, and after touring a bit more we st off for the Lodge for the night. We were disappoined with the accommodation at the lodge, which is why I've only given a 4. Next morning we went to the crater where there were large herds of many animals. We saw everything but rhino. After lunch we returned to Arusha”
