“5 days of safari was great for seeing Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorogoro. We spent one day in each park except for Serengeti where we stayed two nights in the middle of the park, sleeping in tents. That was by far the best part of the whole experience, even though I had a fever the first night and it was raining the second. Still it was much more of an outdoor experience than sitting in the car and if I go on safari again I would very much like to do a walking safari or go canoeing one day. I know it's not for everyone but I thought it was awesome and just the right amount of scary having elephants, giraffes, baboons, lions and buffaloes just outside the camp and hyenas three meters from the tent fighting over the garbage and hearing frogs quackle all through the night.
I really liked going at the start of the rain season since we got to see more variety in weather. Afterwards I feel like I could have skipped Tarangire National Park, since all the animals we saw there we also saw in Serengeti, although the environment in the two parks was really different so therefore I don't regret seeing both of them. The best thing with visiting all of those four parks was the big variety in environment, otherwise I'd probably feel fine with only visiting Serengeti.”
