How much time should I spend in Norway?

The charming town of Stavanger in Norway
Norway may be one of the countries that possess villages that literally and metaphorically shine at night

Norway’s size (the country is slightly bigger than the US state of New Mexico) along with its well-developed transport network means that you can cover a lot of ground even if you have only one week to spend in the country. However, a couple of weeks are needed if you truly want to dive into the cultural richness of this Nordic nation and savor its natural beauty. We recommend spending at least two weeks in Norway to get your money’s worth of experience. The duration is enough to cover everything from the historic monuments of Oslo to remote coastal villages like Henningsvær and Nusfjord. Throw in a Northern Lights excursion if you wish to, or experience one of the world’s most scenic drives along the coastal road between Trøndelag and Bodø.
