Immerse yourself Thai culture through the art of Thai cooking, venturing to a fresh and green part of the city on this Bangkok bicycle tour. Hop across the Chao Phraya river and to a more serene side of the city to visit farms and orchards supplying local markets with key ingredients that makes that food so special. Then we roll up our sleeves and get our hands dirty with a Thai cooking class. Informative, delicious, and hands on, this tour fills our stomachs and our minds!
Meet at the back parking lot Suan Plern Market at 7:45 AM to prepare for our ride. More info below.
Take a ferry across the Chao Phraya River, an authentic form of Bangkok transportation and arrive to a much quieter part of town.
Venture through Bangkok’s lush green oasis, home to small villages and local temples, untouched by developers and away from the crowds.
Stop at an orchard and vegetable farm where we learn about delicate Thai herbs and vegetables.
We park our bikes and roll up our sleeves to have a go at preparing from Thai favorites ourselves! Our friendly chef will share insider tips and tricks of traditional Thai cuisine.
After having our fill of our homemade Thai meal, we cross the Chao Phraya River and back to our meeting point.
This 20 km leisurely bicycle tour in Bangkok ventures from busy city roads to quiet pathways passing through alleys, topical jungle, and along temples. There is a portion of the bike tour on elevated canal pathways which may not be suitable for those afraid of heights, but we think they add to the adventure!
We meet at the back parking lot of Suan Plearn Market on Rama IV Road. If taking the BTS you need to get off at Phromphong station, use exit 4 and walk straight to Sukhumvit Soi 26. Here you can take a motorcycle taxi or a regular taxi to Suan Plearn Market, distance is 2.6 km and it takes only 10 minutes traveling. We don't recommend walking.
