“I had 8 fantastic days in Sri Lanka. The hiking was gorgeous and those who wanted could take it at a bit of a slower pace. There are quite a few early mornings, but all worth it. The only thing I was a little surprised at and would have liked a heads up about is the fact that two of us joined a different tour group that had already been together for a week. This would have been good to know so that I wasn’t super confused the night before and morning we left Negombo when only two of us showed up.”
“It was an excellent trip with many different activities, eg bike riding through the villages with visit to a family, white water rafting, hiking and of course temple visits. What made the your so special was our excellent tour guide Ruwan who told us about the history, fauna and flora as well as the customs. In addition, he was always available and had all meals with us.”
“The trip that my niece and I did was absolutely brilliant I cannot recommend this trip highly enough and the company H.O.T Tourism they are the best. We also had a very kind and lovely driver Aruma he was very informative We stayed in fabulous 3 and 4 star hotels with good food and service. There are quite a few of the trips that are included but we paid extra for the botanical gardens which was absolutely beautiful, the temple of the tooth in Kandy, a fabulous catamaran down the river and a safari with the elephants all very reasonably priced. The country is stunningly beautiful with paddyfields, beautiful flowered lily pads, coconut trees, banana trees and beautiful wildlife and birds. We had a great train ride to Ella which is a very trendy funky Town we, had meditation with a monk. Climbed Adams peak which is high up in the mountains and the 360° view you get from the top, we picked tea and visited a factory very interesting there was so many other things that we did the best of it was visiting the elephant rehabilitation and sanctuary.
Seeing tiny 6 week old elephants being fed and the safari was fabulous we were no more than 12 ft away from big bull elephants in the Jeep. Lovely haridra resort and spa at Wadduwa where we spent our last 4 days relaxing by a very quiet peaceful sandy beach and I can thoroughly recommend the service and the lovely food at this hotel.”
