“Cecilia is a knowledgeable and charming host. I travelled alone so this trip was perfect. She makes everyone feel at ease and we all had a great time. I really would recommend it.”

“Ah what a great introduction to the food and drink culture of Barcelona with a great guide and such a fun group. The tapas and the drinks were plenty so don't eat beforehand...you won't go hungry on this adventure! I got to learn the ropes of what and how to order at the bars, from which drinks to keeping the cocktail sticks (used to determine your bill). As I was in Barcelona for 10 nights this was a great starter and gave me confidence when going to tapas bars myself. So if you're in Barcelona...book this adventure!”

Spain Food Tours

Highlights of Spain Food Tours

  • Enjoy traditional paella made with saffron rice and a selection of meat (chicken with rabbit or pork) in the original Valencian recipe.
  • Savor traditional tapas plate, often seafood based, served with your morning drink. In some of Andalusia, the tapas are usually free with your beverage of choice.
  • Tantalize your taste buds with a smooth red wine, a spicy white, or a tasty rosé. If you prefer beer, enjoy a local brew or even a delicious coffee available in every bar.
  • Spice up with some of the best Spanish sausage varieties like chorizo, chistorra, and morcilla
  • There is no better farmer’s market than Potes, so make sure to lap up all the traditional foods with an included market brunch of regional delicacies.

Travel Tips for Spain Food Tours

  • Look for bars and restaurants with a Menu del Dia on your Spain food tour. Although the choices will be limited, you will often get three courses for a reasonable cost.
  • Synchronize with the culture and save your appetite until after 8 pm. The Spanish are serious about their siesta and most places shut down to beat the day’s heat.
  • Make sure to try out small-town bodegas and bars, as authentic Spain is much easier to find once you venture away from the tourist beaches.
  • Interact with the vendors and chefs during your food tour to Spain. They can offer great insights, recommendations and stories behind the dishes you're trying.
  • Communicate with your tour provider in advance if you have any kind of food allergy or dietary restrictions.
