Very Good
4 - Very Good
  • Ornelle T.
“Good. I had a lot of fun, and the CEO was efficient and helpful. But some improvement is to be done on the transport and the accomodation. A detailed journey (from start to finish) should also be shared to each client prior to the trip.”

5 - Excellent
  • Mei Lin Millicent Yeo
“In 6 days, we saw a mix of urban city, traditional palaces and Hanok villages, cathedral and temples, a lively night market, some shopping, a National Park, and the coastal city of Busan. We ate very well enjoying typical Korean dishes for lunch, like samgyetang, bibimbap, bulgogi, ssam, and one pasta & pizza lunch for variety. Our guide Helena was fluent in English and Spanish so we could understand all the interesting information easily. Helena took good care of us, and though it was not included, she made extra effort to help our group find a clinic for Covid-19 PCR test after arrival in Korea. Her fun personality made us very comfortable too. And there was no pressure to shop at special stores with a ”discount” for tour groups. Our hotel in Seoul was the Marriott Times Square which was excellent. The Ramada hotel in Busan was less impressive but alright for a one night stay. I did not enjoy Daegu City and its oriental medicine museum which was too specific for my interest. However we had the chance to try on Korean hanbok dress for free in the museum. Overall, it was a quick trip that was a very good introduction to South Korea.”

Beaches in South Korea

3 Most Popular Beaches in South Korea

  1. Haeundae: Arguably the most popular beach in South Korea, Haeundae Beach near Busan is 1.5 kilometers long and boasts clear waters. The beach is perfect for swimming and sunbathing. While there, don’t forget to check out the SEA LIFE Busan Aquarium, a popular spot with locals and tourists alike.
  2. Seobin: If you are interested in marine biology, you will love Seobin Beach. Situated on the coast of Jeju Island, which is home to the only coral beach in the whole of South Korea, this is a perfect spot to snorkel and scuba dive.
  3. Hajodae: If you are looking for popular beaches in South Korea near Seoul, Hajodae Beach is located around a four-hour bus drive across the country. With a distinctive beach town feel, with surfing, watersports and great seafood, Hajodae is a perfect place for relaxing and sunbathing.

Highlights of South Korea beach tours

  • Try to ride waves at Hajodae Beach. This laidback beach is one of the most popular surf beaches in South Korea.
  • Explore the rock pools at Hamdeok. Located on Jeju Island, the crabby wildlife on Hamdeok Beach is ideal for families looking for adventure.
  • Jump on a jetski at Eurwangni Beach. This beach is closest to the Incheon Airport and the most popular one in Seoul.
  • Enjoy the Mud Festival at Daecheon Beach. Held over two weeks during the summer season, visitors can get down and dirty, mud-wrestle and have tons of fun in this unique beach area.
  • Hike around the coastline of Naksan Beach. With activities that range from volleyball to high-quality surfing and a stunning cliff-top hike, you can enjoy amazing panoramic coastal views.

Travel tips for beach tours in South Korea

  • Make sure you try some local seafood at the beach. Popular dishes include Nakji Bokkeum, which is a traditional stir-fried octopus dish.
  • Book your beach trip to South Korea during the fall season, with September being the best month. The humidity is much lower than in the summer months, and the crowds are fewer.
  • Avoid going to the beach on national holidays like Chuseok at the end of September, when many Korean families head out to the beach for a weekend away.
  • Opt to stay on Jeju Island rather than in big cities like Seoul to save some money.
  • Ask your local guide for some beaches off the beaten path. With so much coastline, there are hundreds of secret coves and beaches that locals know much better than tourists.
