- Become Angelina Jolie as you explore the set of Tomb Raider
The Journey to Angkor tour starts at Angkor Wat. As Cambodia’s national symbol, Angkor Wat is the most famous and best preserved temple in the country. Exploring its elaborate architecture will give you a real taste of Khmer civilization.
You will then be guided toward the legendary towers and smiling faces of Bayon, before exploring Phimeanakas, Baphoun, the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King. The morning ends at the South Gate of Angkor Thom City, a beautiful spot and photographer’s dream.
After a traditional Khmer lunch to refuel, you can enjoy a snooze in a nearby hammock.
Once refreshed, your afternoon will be spent exploring the striking Ta Prohm temple, made famous by Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider. Since being reclaimed by the surrounding jungle, the temple structure is dramatically interwoven with twisting branches and dangling vines.
Depending on how long you spend on your Tomb Raider voyage, there may be time to visit the triangular temple of Pre Rup before this enthralling tour draws to a close.
