Start in Siem Reap and end in Phnom Penh, the "Cambodia Explorer" trip is a guided cultural, religious and historic sites tour that takes 11 days. You will travel through Angkor Wat, Phnom Penh and Kampot in Cambodia. "Cambodia Explorer" is a group trip which includes accommodation, transport, meals and others.

Welcome to the wild wild west of Southeast Asia. After establishing our presence in Thailand, we looked east to Thailand’s wilder, untamed neighbor Cambodia. As the 2nd country we ever operated in, Cambodia has a special place in our hearts - visiting this one of a kind country is like jumping in a time machine and visiting Thailand in the 70s before it became the tourist mecca it is today. Once the victim of a cruel regime, this nation is now home to some of southeast Asia’s most welcoming locals, spectacular temples, and wild nights out ( .50p beers and a tarantula to chase with, anyone?).

If you are here for the REAL, uncut southeast Asia, look no further. Come see Angkor Wat for sunrise, get your island fix on the white sand beaches of Koh Rong Samloen and learn about the troubled past with visits to the genocide museum and the killing fields in Phnom Penh. Explore the Tru Cambodia including a visit to the southern fishing town of Kampot for some river cruising, water sport activities, cooking classes and old fashioned tanning. It doesn't get better than this.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS Find answers to the most frequently asked questions about this tour.
  • Is Cambodia a family-friendly destination?

Home to diverse settings and friendly people, Cambodia is fascinating for all ages. The colorful markets of Phnom Penh, the floating markets of Mekong and the Sangkae, and the Cambodian temples hidden in lush greenery will interest anyone. Cambodia’s rich culture, tragic war history, and selection of museums are intriguing for the family.

  • What is the best time to visit Cambodia?

The high season for tourism in Cambodia is from December to March. While Cambodia's weather is hot and humid all year round, it gets exceptionally hot in April and May. So, visiting the country during these months is not recommended. For additional information, check our post on the best time to visit Cambodia.

  • What is the currency of Cambodia?

Although Cambodian Riel is Cambodia's official currency, most transactions are in US dollars. Several ATMs in Cambodia's cities dispense both US dollars and Riel. While certain credit cards are accepted, cash is still the preferred payment method.

  • Is English widely spoken in Cambodia?

Cambodian Khmer is the most spoken language in the country. However, certain minority groups speak English. Most people in the tourist industry and affluent cities such as Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Sihanoukville can converse in English to a certain extent. Knowing a few local phrases would be helpful if you plan to explore the country's less-known areas.

  • How to plan an Asia tour?

Asia is a relatively large continent, so there are a wide variety of destinations to explore. Therefore, if you are planning a multi-country trip to Asia, the first thing you need to prepare is the list of countries you are interested in along with your starting and ending points. You would also need to decide on the best time for your trip depending on seasonal variations that affect each country.

After finalizing when and where to travel in Asia, you should make arrangements for all the necessary travel documents. These would include visas, insurances, Covid-19 test reports, vaccine cards, and so on.
