“Fantastic day out with our tour guide Frank and driver Jamie. Very informative and personal approach to the tour giving us insight of both the outer suburbs of Santiago, the countryside and and its inhabitants. Frank (having lived in both USA and South America) has a great understanding of both cultures which allowed him to engage with everyone on the tour almost seamlessly. Our driver Jamie was incredibly knowledgeable of the roads and terrain and got us there and back without a hitch. The roads heading through the canyon do get tenuous but we felt safe in his hands. All the most the scenery was breathtaking! All round great day and a highlight of our visit to Santiago.”

“Amazing views. Interesting guide by Emmanuel. We loved the final stop st the reservoir with a break for a walk and picnic. It would be great if the tour involved some more hiking but you probably need to choose a different tour profile if you want to hike. All in all, highly recommended.”

“Our tour guide was Vanessa Villablanca. She picked us up at the hotel at 8 am. While we didn't book a private tour, it ended up just being our family of 4. She had a good vehicle that could handle the drive through the Cajon Del Maipo & Embalse El Yeso. Vanessa had great command of the points along the trip. She was so accommodating when we wanted to stop & get pics which we really appreciated. We went on a Saturday and unfortunately it was a long weekend for people of Santiago. As such it was PACKED. We left at 8 am and the drive was perfect up to about a 1/4 mile from Embalse El Yeso. TONS of car packed a very narrow dirt road making it virtually impassable. Luckily Vanessa had parked at the bottom of the entrance area, allowing us to avoid what would have been HOURS trying to get back down the hill. You do not want to do this drive yourself nor with a car that is not an SUV. Hire a driver. We had a little lunch which was very nice. Nothing like enjoying the beauty of the area. Vanessa set up a table and chairs. She is very personable and passionate for nature.”
