Self guided walk on the Camino Reviewed Tour: Self-Guided Walking on the Camino de Santiago
5 - Excellent
“The service provided by Exodus was excellent. I would book with the company again. Luggage was efficiently moved each day and transfers were timed quite well. My only critique would be that daily instructions might be too detailed. In some cases it would be good to just say follow the Camino markers until.........
Accommodation was fantastic at almost each location.”

“This was a great trip! We wanted to spend some time walking in Spain and this seemed like a good way to do it. Starting in Leon and visiting the city was a good start, taking in some bars and restaurants in the sunshine. We had a great tour of the town with Blanca, our guide, who showed us round the cathedral and other places of interest. Having our own guide really helped to find out more about this city.
We opted for the short walk on the first day, which was a good decision as it was so hot that day. From Day 2 onwards, we enjoyed beautiful walking through the Galician countryside - hills and valleys to begin with, then more rolling countryside for the next few days, with lots of woodland paths and good shade. The weather was very kind to us - warm with nice breezes - ideal walking conditions.
We stayed in a variety of places - all lovely rooms, and good service overall. There some beautiful historic buildings with thick granite walls, reminding us of the history of this walk and the millions of pilgrims who have travelled this route for a thousand years!
The trip notes were very good, though it is easy to find your way with so many sign posts and yellow arrows to follow. We could always find somewhere to eat or drink when we needed to, and found some delightful quirky hostelries along the way.
I think the route is ideal - taking in Leon to start the trip and using taxis to miss out the mundane parts of walking out of Leon made sense for us - also, having a slightly shorter day's walking in the middle of the trip helped us to catch up physically.
I would recommend this trip to anyone who would like to walk part of the Camino - I feel like I have been on an interesting journey as well as completing a physical challenge which I thought I might not manage!
We had a great time!”
Camino April 2016 Reviewed Tour: Self-Guided Walking on the Camino de Santiago
4 - Very Good
“We took the trip that started from Leon and finished at the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela. Though I walked with my brother-in-law, each evening we met up in the hotel with two delightful UK couples on the same trip. The walking was not demanding to experienced walkers, though the weather in early April was varied. The Camino route is not through top quality scenery all the way; it's a pilgrim route ! Most of the hotels were either excellent or very good.”
Camino de Santiago Cycle Ride, Sept 16 Reviewed Tour: Cycle the Camino de Santiago
5 - Excellent
“We have been to a number of Exodus rides but this one stands out because 1) It was a "door to door" ride - we rode to/from the hotel from beginning to end without any bus transfer 2) We had some non-technical off road sections which was great 3) The leaders were great (see below) 4) It was a very interesting ancient route (we rode the "Camino") and had amazing churches and Castles en route that one could collect stamps on your Camino passport 5) We had great weather (quite hot for Sept. in the first few days but turned cooler towards the end) + the food was wonderful and cheap....”
Cycling the Camino de Santiago Reviewed Tour: Cycle the Camino de Santiago
5 - Excellent
“A fantastic trip in beautiful scenery from mountains to vineyards. The guide was amazing (Jose) endless knowledge and tireless in answering our questions, helping out and generally great company. The ride was challenging in parts, but overall manageable, with plently of stops for coffee.”
CYCLE THE CAMINO DE SANTIAGO Reviewed Tour: Cycle the Camino de Santiago
4 - Very Good
“Well what a great trip. Very exhilarating and a complete endorphin high as this was my first cycle trip ever. My training for the trip was about 3 times a week doing 15-20kms on roads with hills and flat sections for 4 months before the tour started. I was able to finish most of the tour except for the last 20kms due to time pressure of my flight out of Santiago de Compostella.”

“Week long bike adventure was the perfect mix of intense physical activity and sightseeing / touring.”

“I didn't know whether to go on this trip selfguided or guided and I'm glad I chose the guided option because I would have missed so much by myself. The two guides were a fantasic team and took us to the best restaurants , on the best routes and to the best places. The best holiday I've ever had. Perfect weather, good company in a small group of 8, fantastic cheap food with many local specialities and terrfic varied cycling. As soon as I got back home I booked a similar trip to Italy with Exodus.”
Great trip Reviewed Tour: Camino de Santiago Trek
5 - Excellent
“This trek is very well organised and straight forward for experienced walkers. The countryside is similar to the Cotswolds and there are few hills and no difficult sections. Our guide was brilliant and the walk was well paced - if you can walk 10 miles a day you can do this trek.”
