“The Northern Camino self-guided walking tour is a fantastic way to explore the beautiful Basque countryside - but you need to break out your climbing genes because there are a lot of hills involved. And take some rubber glue with you because your boots will fall apart (both pairs of ours did!) The pay-off for all the up and down hiking is the opportunity for spectacular views. Accommodation was mainly excellent with friendly, helpful staff. This tour company, as always, highly organised and helpful.”

“I'd been to the island before and stayed in Valle Gran Rey and used buses to get out and about. With this trip I moved around the island more and saw some areas that I'd not been to which might have been tricker to see on my own on public transport. The knowledge that Sherpa had of the island helped with John having lived there for 20+ years. The accommdoation provided was excellent and the notes were pretty much spot on. All the pickups worked perfectly as well and my luggage went were it was supposed to, so no problems there either. I did a fair bit of extra walking on the two "free" days around Playa de Santiago and in the afternoons on a couple of days when I finished with a bit of time to spare. I love the island and I'll be back!”

“John was a very charming, helpful host and the time keeping for our pick-ups was prompt. He was always waiting for us with a smile on his face. The walks were SPECTACULAR and very well planned. We liked the variety: the tropical part of the island, the Laurel Forest, the high points and the wonderful valleys. The scenery was breathtaking, especially as we had perfect weather EVERY day. All things considered, this was a wonderful holiday and the Island is very special- like stepping back in time. Sometimes in the rural areas, the valleys were silent and the bird life was diverse. I am so pleased that I chose your company to travel with and I will definitely use you again.”
