Spend a day you'll never forget when you combine two unique California experiences in one tour! View some of the world's tallest trees in Muir Woods in the morning and then visit the world famous Northern California Wine Country in the afternoon.
First stop is Muir Woods: home to the Coast Redwoods, some of the world's tallest trees in the world! With maps in hand, take a short walk through these spectacular woods and enjoy the immense natural beauty. Set aside in 1908 as a federally protected area, Muir Woods National Monument is the only surviving stand of Old Growth Forest in the Bay Area today. We are visiting Muir Woods in the early morning before the crowds arrive, so you will have the best photo opportunities.
After leaving Muir Woods, the tour heads north to the famous Wine Country for an afternoon of wine tasting.
Sonoma Valley is one of the most prized wine regions of Northern California. In a premium winery you’ll enjoy a private guided wine tasting. Learn how to taste the wine, or if that is something you’ve known for years, just savor the exclusive wines you’ll be offered.
After that, the tour will continue to Sonoma Plaza, the largest plaza in California, for a bite to eat at the eatery of your choice. You’ll have time to browse the boutiques, stop in one or two of the many tasting rooms or visit the historic buildings that surround the plaza. Before leaving the Wine Country, you’ll stop at Cornerstone Gardens, the one-of-a-kind outdoor museum for landscape architects. Each walk-through garden celebrates the connections between art, architecture and nature. You will also enjoy the unusual shops and the new tasting rooms at Cornerstone.
Your final stop will be in Sausalito, picturesque city on the Bay. You’ll be given a ferry ticket for your return to San Francisco. Leave right away or stay for an early bayside dinner before taking the ferry cruise across the Bay.
Your tour will be aboard a luxury limousine style bus with forward facing seats. The tour will operate with a
minimum of 6 passengers and a maximum of 30 passengers, so the vehicle sizes can vary depending on the size of the group, allowing for a comfortable and relaxing experience.
