Drive on and descend into the crater floor with picnic lunches for a day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one the largest intact calderas in the world as well as one of the most spectacular sights in the whole of Africa. It is among the best places to see the BIG FIVE (rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo and elephant) in a single day. However, as one of the world's most astonishing and renowned natural wonders, the Ngorongoro Crater does get busy, and at times very busy. Due to the crowds we recommend a two-night stay only here, then moving on to the Serengeti for a quieter, more private safari experience. The crater and surrounding highlands together form one of Africa's most beautiful regions. Volcanic craters form stunning backdrops to some of the most fertile and richest grazing grounds in Africa. The most famous such crater is without question Ngorongoro, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and home to the highest density of big game in Africa, including all the big five and plenty of predators. Ngorongoro is justifiably one of the continent's most famous safari destinations.     Upon arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, clients will be transferred to a hotel in Arusha Town. Once settled, we will conduct a briefing about the Safari. Early the next morning, a 4X4 Safari vehicle will pick up the clients from the hotel and embark on their Safari adventure. First destination is the Serengeti National Park, which is a 320km drive northwest from Arusha. Ngorongoro conservation Area and the crater is also a spectacular wildlife viewing area where clients will enjoy another day of exploration. The variety of animals here, range from rhinos, elephants, gazelles, elands, wildebeest, zebras, lions among others. Camping tents will be installed for overnight stays, in designated camping sites. Camping chairs will be set up for evening or nighttime relaxing moments, this is normally a great opportunity for the clients to engage their knowledgeable guides in event of any questions about the Safari and the region. On the drive back, many Masai villages and Masai people will be seen and visitation of Masai villages may be arranged, depending on clients preference.     Visit the Jozani forest and explore this natural part of Zanzibar, home to several habitats including swamp forest, evergreen thickets, mangroves, as well as a variety of wildlife, including sykes and red colobus monkeys, bush pigs, Ader’s duiker and suni antelopes, elephant shrews, chameleons and lots of birdlife. The Jozani forest is best known for its kirks red colobus monkeys (kima punju in swahili), which are endemic to Zanzibar. About 10 years ago, the monkeys were considered to be in danger of extinction, but this trend has since reversed due to the conservation project. There are about 6000 red colobus monkeys now residing in Jozani Forest. After visiting the monkeys, walk across to the Pete-Jozani mangrove boardwalk, which entwines through coral thicket vegetation, mangrove forests and across a creek. The mangrove forest is extremely crucial to Zanzibar’s ecosystems, providing a habitat for many lizards, snakes and birdlife as well as preventing the coastal erosion. Jozani Forest is situated 38km southeast of Stone Town. In 1995, the Jozani Chwaka Bay Conservation Project was set up to protect the largest remaining patch of indigenous ground-water forest that used to cover Zanzibar. Local communities are involved in the project and some of your entrance fee contributes to development projects and to compensate local farmers whose crops are often damaged by the red colobus monkeys.

    Machame Route (also known to as the "Whiskey Route") is the most beautiful route up Kilimanjaro with high summit success rate. It rewards hikers with scenic splendors. From late afternoon sunsets at Shira to the misty revelations of Kibo at the great Barranco Wall, witness a scenic "slide show" as you trek to the top of the world's highest free-standing mountain. There is an added benefit to taking the Machame Route, as you are afforded the most valuable commodity on the mountain: acclimatization. The route takes you high to Lava Tower (4,630m) on Day 3 and brings you down by nearly 700m for an overnight at Barranco camp (3,950m). This is the secret to successful acclimatization.
