    Full-day Palcoyo Mountain Tour - December 2027

Outside of Cusco lies a truly magical landscape of colored mountains and sweeping valleys in the Andes. While Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) has gained a lot of fame among travelers, thereby receiving hundreds of visitors on a daily basis, few travelers realize that there are multiple rainbow mountains dotting this other-worldly landscape. Be part of this off-the-beaten-track experience and travel to Palcoyo during this day trip. Starting from the Main Square of Cusco, we will take you to Palcoyo where you can take pictures and enjoy this otherworldly landscape before it is time to travel back to the city. Although not as popular as Vinicunca, Palcoyo, discovered only in 2018, is very similar to the well-known mountain. And since few travelers know about this, you can be assured of encountering fewer tourists when you are hiking through its landscape.

The hike will take you approximately 2 - 3 hours. The hike to Laguna Churup is popular among travelers, not just among those wanting to see the lake but also among those wanting to acclimatize before a longer trek in Peru. But even if the lake is close to Huaraz, it is not so easy to reach. However, we have ensured that you can walk at your own pace and rest when you need to. You also have the option of camping on the shore of the lake. Reach Laguna Churup, located at the elevation of 4450m. Take plenty of time to relax and explore the surrounding areas. Cancellation and rescheduling policy : 24 hours. Let's see another side of the Cordillera Blanca with this Churup Lake trek, which will take us through the typical vegetation of the Andes and the landscapes as a background, with mountains higher than 5000 m. Itinerary: We will go to the east of the city of Huaraz. The route will take us to some towns before reaching Pitec, where the trek begins. There we will be able to see the Andes' own vegetation and views of the Huamashraju, Cashan and Churup mountains, besides the Cordillera Negra. Along the route, we will see the mountain melting that form rivers and waterfalls. After 3 minutes of trek, we will arrive at the Churup Lagoon, at 4,480 m high. In that place we will make a 1 hour pause to eat and take photographs. Then, we will return to the bus to go back to Huaraz.

The Last Inca Bridge & Four Lagoon Tour - December 2027

There is more about the Incas than just Machu Picchu. Join us on this guided day trip to see Queshuachaca, the last operational Inca bridge. We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 6:45 am. Your first destination is the four lagoons, where you will reach after almost two hours on the road. After enjoying some quiet moments near the lagoons, it is time to head for the Apurímac River where lies the impressive Inca bridge. This hanging Inca bridge is made of vegetable fiber (ichu) and is located in the district of Quehue. The renovation and maintenance of this bridge is done once every year by members of the four communities living in nearby villages that use this bridge. Cross the bridge twice before heading back to Cusco. Stop by to see the colonial bridge of Checacupe and learn more about the difference between the two. You will reach the city by 7:00 pm.
