The southern circuit of Tanzania is getting more and more popular. Although it is less frequently visited than the northern circuit, it offers a similar variety of wildlife, varied landscapes, and culture.
The Nyerere National Park is the largest in Africa, approximately the size of Switzerland and is a vast open landscape with savanna plains, woodland, and many lakes and swamps in the Rufiji valley. It became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982 due to its diversity of wildlife and undisturbed nature.
A guided boat trip on the Rufiji River will be arranged during which you will see many majestic birds, hippos, and crocodiles, probably elephants and, if you are lucky, a Nile monitor or a pride of lions coming down to drink.
Mikumi National Park can be visited in one day from Dar es Salaam, but if you have more time, this charming park is well worth a more extended visit. The vast expanses of the Mkata Floodplain are full of wildlife: lions, wildebeest, impala, eland, and buffalo migrate across the plains. In the Miombo woodland on the foothills of the local mountains, greater kudu and sable antelopes can be seen. More than 400 species of birds have been sighted in Mikumi.
We will also visit Udzungwa - the largest and most biologically diverse chain of forests in Tanzania. This archipelago of isolated massifs has been dubbed the Galapagos of Africa for its treasure trove of endemic plants and animals. Known collectively as the Eastern Arch, the ancient crystalline mountains were formed more than 200 million years ago. Geological changes caused the rising of the central plateau, now the Tanzania/Kenya Highlands, and the formation of the Rift valley.

The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtakingly beautiful setting and the best place in Tanzania to see the Big Five. However, as one of the world's most astonishing and renowned natural wonders, the Ngorongoro Crater does get busy, and at times very busy. Due to the crowds we recommend a two-night stay only here, then moving on to the Serengeti for a quieter, more private safari experience.

I NEVER in a million years thought I would be able to make it to the Peak. This was our FIRST hiking trip of any kind and we thought we'd "give it a try".... the tour company team were FANTASTIC ! Rama and his team checked in with us the day before to run us past a day by day itinerary, ensure we had all the necessary equipment (we didn't), and obtained what was missing. Throughout our hike and especially making up the Peak, he kept checking our physical conditions and mental motivation. On the ascent day, he made sure we kept busy and distracted to forget how incredibly hard it was climbing that last leg of the route... and it worked! We reached UHURU Peak and the feeling is incredible !! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!

Unbelievable safari! Was able to see all of the Big 5 except for the leopard. Accommodations were in a camp like setting with a big tent and decent bed giving the outdoor experience.

Mikumi National Park is one of the most popular national parks in Tanzania and this is because it is easily accessible from Dar es salaam. Mikumi National Park is named after a village, which in turn takes its name from the Swahili word for Borassus Palm, which once grew there abundantly.
This park can be visited in a single day from Dar es Salaam. But, if you have more time, this charming park warrants a longer stay. Be ready for an exciting 3-day safari trip in two adjoining national parks. Visit Tsavo West National Park, located in the Coast Province of Kenya, and see a variety of African wildlife like never before. Move on to Tsavo East National Park and explore its red-soil plains. On the first day of this safari you and your fellow travellers will visit Lake Manyara at the first day where you will see tree-climbing lions regularly climbing into the acacia canopy, probably to run away the concentration of biting insects. Lake Manyara is also home to large herds of buffalo, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, elephants and hippo pools. The Lake Manyara National Park also attracts water birds such as herons, storks, kingfishers and the iconic fish eagle. The National park is home to Tanzania's birdlife, with 400-plus species recorded, counting 50 birds of prey, raucous forest hornbills, pink-hued flamingos and flotillas of pelicans etc.
The following day our professional driver guide takes you through Serengeti National Park which will give you the chance to experience the BIG five (5) and other animal like elephants, giraffes, dik diks, zebras, gazelles, impalas, hartebeests, topis, buffalos, and waterbucks. Furthermore, we guestimate that you will see about 500 bird species, including ostrich, secretary bird, Kori bustard, crowned crane, marabou stork, martial eagle, lovebirds, and many species of vultures.
Day 5 of this tour will take place in Serengeti National Park where our driver guide will drive you through the Ngorongoro Crater which is known also as the Garden of Eden in terms of wildlife. Here you can expect to see hot springs, the maasai community and of course various animal species.

The 5-day climbing Kilimanjaro via Marangu route is one of the most popular routes to the summit of the famous Mount Kilimanjaro. The route enables the climber to reach the summit one day earlier as compared to the Machame route. This route does, however, offer you the option of spending an extra acclimatisation day on the mountain if needed.
This route offers the relative luxury of being able to sleep in shared huts along the entire route. Mineral water, soft drinks, chocolates and beer are also sold at all the camps on this route. All your equipment and supplies are portered and a cook prepares all your meals.
